When Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence he made quite a splash when he defined our unalienable rights as “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness;” prior to that day in 1776, the phrase in common usage was ‘life, liberty and PROPERTY.’ In this episode of We The People V2.0, Bill shows how Capitalism is nothing more nor less than simple economic freedom. Happy Independence Day, everybody!

MAGNIFICENT!!
I’m sorry. All I could think of was the ultimately successful capitalist, who built the “company”, putting his arm around his son, pointing out the window of his “castle”, and saying “Someday, all this will be yours.” The effeminate fop replying “What? The curtains?”
Another Great commentary from Bill! (short, pithy, true, and funny!)

I love the way the story ended!
Ditto. I thought that punchline was hilarious!
