Ok, let’s get this straight once and for all.
No One has a RIGHT to health-care.
You have a right to take care of YOURSELF.
Medical treatment is a service. A service that someone has to provide to you.
In effect … physical and mental labor for your benefit.
No one should be required to perform services for you for free or even for a limited or capped fee. The price will be what the market will bear.
Now on the other hand everyone should be able to save or acquire insurance for these services. One person should not be forced to pay more so someone can pay less.
Medical insurance is a very personal and private thing and should not be under ANY influence or control of an employer let alone the government. In this fashion I think health insurance should be available and be very similar to a “health savings account”
And considering that I think individuals should be encouraged to start early like they are mandated to invest in “social security”
