2020 is the most binary election of my lifetime. No ambiguity, no gray areas, just a straight up or down. Freedom or Tyranny, Liberty or Oppression. One needs only to look at the Democrat Clown Car, uniformly planting their flags on the Far Left, for proof. 2016’s Republican Clown Car at least had some variety, ranging from Cruz’s Ideological Conservatism to Kasich’s Left-leaning moderation. All of the current Democrat field are trying to out-Bolshevik Karl Marx.
It’s no better in the electorate. Americans haven’t been this polarized since the Civil War. Public discourse is a powder keg, particularly in Social Media. People I’ve known and gotten on well with for years, now keep me at arms length, because I voted for Trump. One guy went as far as to call me a Nazi, and when I objected, refused to discuss it with me, stating that I was too hateful because I resented his label. How do you reason with that kind of fanaticism?
Donald Trump is a flawed man. Perhaps, even deeply so. He’s crude, vulgar and blunt. But, perhaps, those are his virtues. He says what he means, and means what he says. He fights, damn it! He stands up to the tin-pot dictators of the world. He sets the terms of the discussion. He doesn’t let the opposition and the press (but, I repeat myself) steamroll him. He just might be the Right Man at the Right Time.
My friends, this election is the defining moment of our time. We are in a life-and-death struggle for the soul of a nation. Are we to remain At LEAST a modicum of a Constitutional Republic, or are we a Socialist Hellhole. It’s that cut-and-dried. The USA or Venezuela. Freedom or Tyranny. Liberty or Oppression. America or Amerika. Choose.
