Trump should go on Joe Rogan’s podcast

On Instapundit, Steve posted a link to this article, discussing the petition to enlist Joe Rogan to moderate the 2020 Presidential debate. (I tried to comment there, but Disqus flags every comment I make now as spam.) Rogan’s podcast is constantly in the top 3 or 4 of popularity. I say Trump should go on his podcast.  I think it would “break the internet” – figuratively, that is. Rogan professes to be neither right or left-wing, and has quite probably the most diverse guest list anyone has ever had on a talk-show. He’s had Sanders and Pocahontas on the show recently. Naturally I have no intention of watching those, but I am pretty sure that if Trump went on he’d get an even-handed treatment, and they’d discuss very wide-ranging topics, as seems to be always the case with Rogan. It would humanize Trump for a lot of people who’ve never seen anything but selectively edited fake news from the msm. I think Trump would have nothing to lose.

Two and a half hours of Dan Crenshaw on Rogan’s show. HERE. Who else does anything like this sort of long form stuff with such a wide variety of guests, and with such a giant audience?

on SEAL training: “… so by the time we do get to combat we’ve already suffered so bad in training that the combat doesn’t feel all that bad…”

Rogan has had Jordan Peterson, Dave Rubin and other leftist-reviled guests. His shows are too interesting for people to stay away from for even leftist bigots. Rogan says he never bothers going on the late night shows anymore as he hates the shallow, short form appearances, where there is not enough time to fully put things in context. The long form would suit Trump perfectly as he doesn’t get that chance even on things like Hannity interviews, let alone the ultra-short twitter format and such.

I agree and I was shocked when Dave Rubin, Glen Beck, etc. walked away from the left and even more leaving the left as I type. God Bless America!

Got to say it may be interesting. Rogan may say he is neither left or right but ok, that is not what I see…… Wonder how much pressure would be on Rogan to try to destroy Trump and how his career/future would be impacted if he was credited with doing something positive for Trump with his listeners. Rogan has almost 6.1M subscribers on YT ALONE plus Apple, etc and millions more who listen. Who knows, maybe Trump could work it, he has surprised me before.
