Compelling, Concise, Credible Response to Slavery Reparations Movement

Our friends over at The Patriot Post, who I’m just getting to know thanks to their co-promotional arrangement with BillWhittle.com, post this compelling, concise and credible response to the slavery reparations movement, from the folks at PragerU. Enjoy.

A quick search shows a lot of conflicting information regarding what percent of the population at the time owned slaves. Whether the number was 1% or 25% or anything in between is irrelevant. The percent of the population that legally own slaves in the United States of America today is 0.0000000%. My ancestors arrived in the United States to a northern state decades after slavery was abolished. I have no intention of paying any amount of reparations for something that I and my ancestors didn’t do and didn’t benefit from. As for my white privilege, almost all of my clothing was hand me downs and I got a paper route at age 11 in order to have any spending money. My real privilege, theoretically available to all races, is that I grew up in a two parent household.
