Scott’s premise of half the people is flawed due to the fact that only 10% of the country (if that many) is actually paying attention. It seems like more since they are so loud, but really the vast majority of people just don’t care.
The dems in congress are, in fact, just trying to get re-elected and get more power. The R’s are too.
The only one who actually seems to be fighting for anything useful, is PDT.
Have you ever seen a positive story on President Trump. He could cure cancer and NBC,CBS,ABC and CNN would point out well that’s not important .
Now Pelosi is Thinking about withholding Articles of Impeachment until the Democrats can dictate the rules for the Senate Trial. Outrage anyone?

IMH(not really)O here’s what I think:
The Left (distinguished from the Democrat Party of yore and Liberals)is playing the long game.
For the past 60 years the Left has tried to undermine Western civilization (including the USA) and to wipe out any knowledge of it from the young generations. This can be seen in the destruction of our educational system, a blackening of our history, a dismissal of civics, the loss personal responsibility, an appreciation of honor, and on and on.
Once a civilization has lost its knowledge faith in its foundations it is ripe for overthrow and replacement. Replacement in this case by a power hungry elite who will do anything and say anything to get power. Strangely ideology is irrelevant; power is all
In the final analysis the aware perpetrators of this impeachment fiasco do not care that it will fail. It will be yet another necessary nail in the coffin of our civilization.
