For once I actually find myself agreeing with Gulag Barbie! Not her efforts to drag the DNC even further to the left, but that a corrupt old guard is rightfully getting challenged. Of course, when we did the same thing ten years ago we were called racists…
I agree with you guyz about getting a war over with as quickly as possible. But MacArthur and FDR, not so much. MacArthur’s ego demanded he go back to the Philippines, but the Navy plan would (much more likely) have ended the Pacific war sooner with far fewer casualties. FDR liked Macs plan better (for some reason) oh well, go figure …..
