President Trump says he doesn’t care if the Senate calls witnesses in his impeachment trial, but gives two intriguing reasons why former National Security Advisor John Bolton would be a bad witness. Should America (or at least American Senators) believe a disgruntled former employee?

It is possible that John Bolton is a ringer…not for the prosecution, but actually for Trump. It seems to me that Trump is deliberately trolling the Democrats through the news media, deliberately enticing the Democrats to call Bolton to the witness stand in a “don’t throw me in that briar patch” kind of way. Why else would Trump even talk about him? By saying “don’t call this guy,” he seems to be trolling the Democrats into actually calling him to the stand, and it’s quite possible that Bolton will indeed drop a nuclear bomb–not against Trump, but against the Democrats. I don’t think Bolton is going to say what the Democrats think he is going to say. I don’t think he is nearly as “disgruntled” as the news media would have us believe. There is no way the Senate should not force the Bidens into testifying. Bring pain to the Democrats. Giuliani has clear evidence some of them took bribes in Ukraine and are deeply involved in a money laundering scheme there. There is similar evidence against Pelosi’s son and John Kerry’s son. If the Bidens are subpoenaed to testify and refuse to go, they get in trouble. If they go and tell the truth under oath, they indict themselves in a criminal conspiracy; if they lie, then they perjure themselves under oath. Win-win. Either way, its indictment time for DOJ. I think it’s all part of Trump’s plan to expose the corruption of key Democrats to the American people on TV–that everything they have accused him of doing with Russia is precisely what Democrat leaders have actually been doing themselves in Ukraine. As soon as the Senate kills the impeachment, this sets the scene for the indictments I think DOJ is holding onto, ready to go after specific traitorous actors as soon as Trump is acquitted. As he has long promised–and he’s kept his word on the other promises–I think it’s all part of Trump’s plan to drain the swamp, this time by exposing and taking down key Democratic leaders who have committed crimes.
The only right thing to do is to acquit Trump and commend him for withholding funds from the Ukraine to force them to investigate the Bidens.
Only he didn’t withhold the funds…
He withheld them long enough to trigger the leftists but I say he didn’t withhold them long enough to trigger an investigation.
Trump did not withhold any funds; Congress did. They created two contradictory orders: one for the funds for Ukraine and one mandating anti-corruption action in all countries receiving US funds. Ukraine had an election which meant that all the corruption investigations were reset, that affected timing and information flow. US Embassy staff in Ukraine were openly biased against Trump and the new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky preferring Hillary and the out going Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko. The mandated investigations of how well Ukraine was dealing with corruption stopped coming as a result of their action. The deadline for the Funds was the end of October.
In the end Trump admin personnel had to release the funds, on the 11th of September, in contravention of one congressional mandate to meet another congressional mandate. The weapons were never part of this transaction and were never delayed. President Zelensky was focused on the weapons and did not know the money was delayed. Embassy staff in both the US embassy in Kiev and the Ukrainian embassy in Washington have been replaced and the disgruntled out going US diplomats are the ones testifying against Trump but under oath could not find a crime and admitted that the money was delivered before the end of October.
Since the antitank missiles were delivered Ukraine has retaken 30% of the rebel territory in the east without any significant action from Putin.
(Note: There is negotiation in Crimea. The only fighting is in the east with hard line communist rebels in Donetsk People’s Republic & Luhansk People’s Republic. Some of the leaders of both have warrants for their arrest in Russia proper. I’m of the opinion that Putin’s support for the rebels is or was defensive. They are very popular on the left. Putin is on the right in Russia. Most of his military units on the border with eastern Ukraine block the roads to Moscow. there is no fighting on the direct border between Ukraine and Russia north of Kiev.)
CNN its self is saying this in broad casts out side the USA but does not say it in broadcasts inside the USA.
Thank you for clarifying that the devil is in the details.
Trump and Bolton are trying to bait the Democrats into a trap. If they get Bolton or Rudy Giuliani (their playing the same game with him) or any current White House Staffer that triggers all the witnesses. Jay Sekulow gets to call both Bidons, Nellie Ohr, or Eric “Charlie” Ciaramella the whistle blower no-one is allowed to name.
Trump and Bolton with others has planned this out 12 months ago. Planning for the inevitable impeachment.
The guys on the war room site are arguing for over 3 months of witnesses. Steve Bannon, Jason Miller, and Raheem Kassam are having great fun on their pod cast. https://warroom.org/ They don’t believe in 5D chess as I do but then a chess piece would say that wouldn’t it.
There is a theory that the impeachment is the highest court in the land. You can’t appeal an impeachment to the supreme court. There are things here, that the deep state has done, that are way above the Supreme Courts pay grade. They need to come out in front of both the whole Senate and the world simultaneously.
Ask your self this: What question can Schiff ask of Bolton that would harm trump? What Answer can Bolton give that would blow things up in Schiff’s face. This is not about convincing Republicans to vote Trump, that’s done, this is about getting Democrats, including media and Senators to vote Trump!
Bolton, if he speaks, will blow up the democrats because his disagreements with Trump are not a problem. He was there as a sounding board and fake hawk. The disagreement between them is probably faked. Strategy looks like chaos to friend and foe alike if done well.
[PS: the war room has had sound problems that make Stratosphere lounge look easy. And always when one of them, Raheem, is away. lol. Still very good stuff.]
Conversely Bill, if Donny 2 Scoops is removed from office, the Repub base will be so incensed, that the RNC will suffer a biblical loss in Nov. RNC rank&file will be so ticked that they’ll vote AGAINST every Repub candidate from Mike Pence to dog catcher.
It makes me mad to hear ‘What does he have to hide? ‘ , he does NOT have to prove his innocence the prosecution must prove guilt. It’s the same principal as saying that objecting to a search is proof of guilt. Turn over all your records and let us go through them looking for a crime.
