Really enjoying Ted Cruz’s new “Verdict” podcast with Michael Knowles. In case you missed it, every night after the impeachment trial in the Senate, Cruz and Knowles sit down and talk about it for half an hour. The only things missing so far are alcohol and cigars. In Episode 5, Cruz talks about how he hopes that the President’s lawyers will present a story instead of just going through the Democrats’ case point by point and rebutting, which is a bad trial strategy. In today’s episode (#13), they announced that they will continue the podcast because it’s been so successful. No word though on how frequent it will be or other logistics.
Today’s episode (#10) included Lindsey Graham 2.0 in addition to Cruz. It was recorded last night after the Senate’s voted not to call additional witnesses. If you are at all interested in either the behind-the-scenes vote negotiations in the Senate or the legal issues and implications of the impeachment trial, I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough. All of the episodes have been interesting, but with Senator Graham along for this episode, it really kicked it up a notch. Enjoy!
