Anybody who is listening to Bill’s “Cold War What We Saw” series and wants to look at George Kennan’s “Long Telegram”, here is a copy. Amazing, it was written February 26, 1946 and has amazing clarity about the threat.

thank you Buck!
I’m 30 years old, and I never heard of this until Bill mentioned it in the Cold War podcast. I can’t help but wonder if it never came up in my history classes because of the very “democratic progressive” forces to which it refers. I think it also clears up the postmodern/neo-Marxist connection in the part about the rejection of objective truth. The “big thonk” leftists will tell you that postmodernism and Marxism are antithetical because postmodernism rejects meta-narratives, and Marxism is itself a meta-narrative. It seems to me that postmodernism was never meant to be internally consistent, but instead is just a tool of Marxist subversion.
Thanks, Buck.
