As I said on YouTube, I suggest use of the word, “Workforce,” instead of workers. Bill, I know that leaves the same sour taste in your mouth, the way it does me. The left had me starting to use “workers,” and I can’t stand it. Workforce sounds a WHOLE lot better.
Bill’s comparison to the auto manufacturing bailout is flawed. First, the bailouts were paid to artificial persons whereas these payments will go to natural person; a huge difference. Also, everyone gets it not just the select few. Second, the bailouts were not the result of shoddy manufacturing. When free trade opened up with the Chicoms, all of our manufacturers gradually shifted production overseas where slave labor rates plus even shipping costs grossly undercut domestic production costs. The Chicoms irrefutably proved that capitalism and communist totalitarianism are not mutually exclusive. Wealth is just as attainable by godless heathen as it is by freedom and liberty lovers.
What’s even scarier is the government restriction and curtailment of our constitutional liberties. America has been indoctrinated to go whining to the government because somebody coughed on them. Lost liberties can rarely be regained. America is the only country in the world with a Bill of Rights. The cost of liberty is learning to live dangerously.
Defense spending is not primarily to protect the people from foreign enemies, it’s to protect the Constitution from foreign enemies. Unfortunately, it’s DOMESTIC enemies already inside the gate that are undermining the Constitution.
The shut down of America’s small businesses is reminiscent of Stalin’s brutal take down of the Ukrainian Kulaks.
That seems like a bit of an exaggeration….
I am working from home, and have for over a year. Just don’t have to come in at all. Had to come in twice per two week pay period before. Still have to come in to mail letters I write, but a co-worker is doing that, and comes in only for that. And yes, I can certainly use a check from the government. I sort of look at that as part of my tax refund.
