There is a difference between making the severity of a threat clear and immediate, versus cutting away from good news presented by the medical specialist in charge of its containment.

A mortal man will risk raking fire from a Nambu machine gun to raise the banner of his nation. That same mortal might well trample a fallen peer under foot if he can’t see anything beyond the chaos of a burning theater.
The imagery of hopelessness is immediate and powerful. It makes no investments or sacrifices.
The clarity of reason and purpose sees through the smoke and panic. It points out the glowing hope of an exit sign…But then, it doesn’t sell news.
We will know who wanted an Iroquois Theater reenactment on the other side of this pandemic. We will know the Houseman and Foy sort of people at the end of this situation.

Panic is not a good reason to sell or buy.
Bill, I am in the middle class, perhaps upper middle class, not sure because the “classes” change on a daily basis it seems. I did invest in the market when I felt that it had hit bottom. I had some concern after that I had “taken advantage” of this crisis. But then it occurred to me that what my investment was an influx into the economy. Maybe my little investment may help someone.
The market is always in crisis.
