Needless to say, I don’t for a moment want this to take anything away from all of the 666,000 Americans killed in combat throughout all of the wars in our nations history. With that said, I would like to post the following as a measure of inexpressible admiration, respect and gratitude that that number we honor today was not somewhat greater:
