Can you name a TV show cast (mostly alive, not currently running) that would be willing to do a public fundraising effort for Republicans?
That was essentially the topic an evening show host had on the radio around here last night (WTMJ for other Wisconsinites) and my first thought was “Oh you poor, naive fool!” This Scott was talking about the casts of The Princess Bride and Parks and Rec doing table reads as fundraisers for the state Democrat Party and wondering why the Republicans had not gotten someone to do something like that for them. A few people suggested Last Man Standing (which is currently on the air, I think, so that might disqualify them) and someone texted in All In the Family which the host pointed out would not work with the lead star dead.

Norman Lear, creator of All in the Family, is a big Progressive activist. I highly recommend Lear’s memoir, ‘Even This I Get to Experience‘.
Carroll O’Connor was liberal, as is Rob Reiner.
the search for a conservative cast goes on…
I think the comment came up on the show, and I’ve heard it before, that Archie Bunker wasn’t Carroll O’Connor.
I think Hollywood’s constant shilling for the left just hurts any political position they try to hold, and why I thought the host was either hopelessly naive or overly charitable or optimistic about those leftists.
A whole show? I don’t think so. You could get several prominent folks starting with James Woods and Clint Eastwood, but a whole cast of something remotely recent? I don’t think so.
Yup. Only the actors already “out” and not worried about their careers.
