I have been thinking about the similarity between the riots
this year and the riots in 1968-69.
The culture war grew until McGovern lost in 1972. Then it
seemed like it was defeated, but it just regrouped and burrowed into the
University and Hollywood in an attempt to implement the Frankfurt Group plan.
Perhaps there is an analogy to WWI and WWII?
The allies decided they had had enough fighting and declared
an Armistice. But the Germans never felt defeated. So they nursed their pain at
losing, and planned a comeback. Hence, WWII is considered to be an outgrowth of
not finishing the job in 1919.
I want to say the Culture war needs to be fought like WWII,
until there is a decisive defeat.
But even in 1930, the Left realized it could not win using a
frontal assault, so they devised a back door strategy of undermining culture.
Does that mean that even if Trump gets 60% of the popular vote,
the Left will come up with another scheme to destroy the Free market?
Does it mean that the Right needs to take the fight to Hollywood
and the University?
Will we ever get back to the three USA mottos:
- In
G-d we Trust - E
Pluribus Unum - Liberty
Perhaps the reason that DJT has so much support from people
who see the fight in terms of Culture war, is to quote Lincoln “because he
fights”.
And in War, you can use marques of Queensbury rules and win
(unless you are the USA in 2018, taking out ISIS in Iraq and Syria or 2003
taking out Saddam)
And finally;
What kinds of scorched earth policy will defeat the Left,
while leaving enough of the Constitution intact that we can give it to the next
generation?
