Maybe this is obvious to everyone but me, but I think I have discovered something happening here….in LOL (Left of Left) Santa Cruz County, Ca. Maybe it’s happening where you live too?

The street I live on is about 3 miles long from end to end. It’s a residential neighborhood that was developed in the mid 1950’s, and runs from CA Hwy 1 to the beach. I grew up here, moved out of the parents house, married, raised a family in a nearby town, and then inherited my childhood home when my Dad passed away 3 years ago. The neighborhood has gone full cycle to once again having residents in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
I fly the United States Flag daily for a couple of reasons, one to honor my Dad and the other to show support to our Nation.
Yesterday, I went end to end on our street, and counted 15 flags displayed prominently either on the homes or front yards. It’s beautiful to see. These flags fly daily, not just on July 4th or Memorial day.
I can’t find a Trump sign anywhere. But I did find 3 Biden signs posted.
So here’s the kicker: No homes with flags had a Biden Sign. No homes with Biden signs EVER have displayed Old Glory.
Is it my wild imagination, or is flying our Nation’s Flag a stealth message…like a secret Trump sign in our yard? Do you see this phenomenon in your neighborhoods too?
And just a reminder of how weird this seems, I live in California, and with the exception of Berkeley, Santa Cruz maybe the leftist capital of the Golden State.

I have the joy of living in both Felton, in Santa Cruz county, and Palo Alto (my home is in Felton and I have to care for my parents home in Palo Alto while waiting for the estate to settle.) I haven’t seen any Trump signs in either place, although I did see a car with one in Scotts Valley (town next to Felton). There are quite a few Biden signs, and “Bye Don” signs, in the Palo Alto neighborhood.
Like Deborah, I only fly the flag on holidays. I wouldn’t dare put out a Trump sign, for fear of neighborhood retaliation. I need friendly neighbors. The guy across the street, in Palo Alto, puts out his flag on holidays. He doesn’t have any signs out, so maybe he is a secret Trump supporter. None of the Biden folks fly flags, that I’ve seen.
I live in Palo Alto, where conservatives only whisper. No Trump signs. (I’ve tried that in the past and each was torn to bits; I worry about damage to my car, too.) Only three Biden signs along my regular two-mile walking route, however. Some flags; I only fly mine on holidays, though, ever since the “homeowners-who-fly-flags-are-more-likely-to-own-firearms” report of a few years ago. Your observation makes sense.
Thanks Deborah! Neighbor! (sort of)
I can only speak for myself and my family, but yes, that report is accurate.
