Couldn’t tell who won? Well, the first three headlines in my news feed might clear it up for you. Or not.
(Not the stories, didn’t read ’em. Just the headlines.)

Oddly, a few commenters I heard on the radio today were asking “What do the Europeans / rest of the world think about us?”
One commenter did say though that he disagreed with the other person he was speaking to, (who claimed the debates did not look like America) saying “If you look at social media, it looks just like us.”
I don’t bother watching these things, haven’t for years, since they are not debates. They are just short answer gotcha sessions generally, a journo-ego show as some specially picked short list insiders get to fly their ego and upstage the president (easier this year than in the past, but eh). I think we should go really long form, give the candidates 15 minutes each to put forth a topic, their lists of supporting ideals, and then let the other one put forth 15 minutes of why they think the former is wrong, then switch, putting forth the other’s position and support and the former takes it apart. Maybe a 5 minute rebuttal after each, or a post debate fact check each side can put out on their own.
i suppose it would be too much to ask the US media to televise a French English or Austrailian (so we wouldn’t need subtitles) for comparison, because we can’t see how the rest of the world isn’t any better.
Yep the Australian conservative news commentators all read it as a Trump win too.
Aussie ABC debates are normally three way fights with the moderator taking a political stand that no major party supports. Of course if you want a real brawl you need to go to some parts of Europe where the debate organizers bolt the chairs down so leftist politicians don’t throw them at the conservative or each other.
There are no independent voters in the USA just libertarians miss categorized by leftist surveyors & Trump supporters that want to keep it a secret so the family doesn’t turn into a screaming match. Trump was rallying the base.
Speaking of Australia …. I discovered John Anderson a few months ago and very much enjoy his interviews. How is he thought of in Australia? By you?
Very good and I messaged him on Facebook this week about something. I have seen him in parliament battling with the lefties. In retirement he makes a good interviewer.
