Right Angle: Backstage (10-27-2020)

With just hours to go before the final votes are cast in the presidential election, and just weeks or months before the final counting ends, Bill Whittle, Stephen Green, and Scott Ott are cool as cucumbers.

With just hours to go before the final votes are cast in the presidential election, and just weeks or months before the final counting ends, Bill Whittle, Stephen Green, and Scott Ott are cool as cucumbers — which is a bizarre phrase, when you think of it, especially if you’ve ever harvested cucumbers, which lie about on the soil under the hot sun.

Thank you to our Members who provide the funding stream for this stream of consciousness we call Right Angle Backstage.

In California, you can have up to 30 people at a funeral. So, on Nov 26th, in California, there will be a record number of funerals for pet turkeys that recently passed…Come hungry!

I still think you could go a long way toward covering several of these related topics by simply playing a re-run of the old “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” segment, and then doing current commentary to update it to include Anitifa, BLM and all of their current antics, foundational principles and basic beliefs.

The Texan Constitution has many of the same problems as the Californian (referenda as amendments). Were Texas ever to secede/re-form the USA with a new center, it would probably need a better constitution.

not to be a party pooper, but…
I think a BWDC membership would make a better Christmas present than Thanksgiving…
We have so much (free and/or not-so-free) content on the web to watch right now that I’m having a hard time keeping up! Something about the election happening in less than a week…

Six allowed at Thanksgiving, but thirty for a funeral. I will be hosting a funeral for my pet turkey that will pass away on November 26th. Refreshments will be provided. Masks at your discretion and BYOS (sanitizer) if you need additional assurance in the bathroom.

That’s why the left must be stopped. They’ll crush American innovation such as this.

We moved to TX last year and our kids talked us into driving back to CA for the holidays this November. Travel is really cheap right now, so why not? We agreed about a week before the Edict on Thanksgiving Behavior dropped, so now I’m not sure if we’ll go or how long we’ll stay. Not because of the awfulness of CA overall, we are well versed in that. But because of the oppressive attitudes that many Californians have right now and virtue signaling harpies that are forming their own secret police network of informers. I know there’s been reports that people are defying these rules left and right, but I read some of the comments posted when Megyn Kelly called out Newsome for his latest insanity. It was depressing. Commenters embraced the Edict, praising their Governor for trying valiantly to save them from death at the hands of insensitive and rude people who flaunt the sensible and life-saving mask/lockdown/social-distancing/crowd-limiting “Guidelines”. Pathetic. It’s true the Edict is labeled as “Guidelines”, but in the body of the Edict there are words like ‘must’, ‘mandatory’, ‘prohibitied’. Those aren’t ‘guideline’ words. Those are authoritarian words. I would like to think our kids would be on the side of freedom. But I put it at about 50/50. As much as I want to see them, it’s a soul-crushing experience to be in CA where the citizenry is so willing to turn their liberty over to the government so they can bask in the glow of a false sense of security.

London has a Muslim mayor. I’m not sure of his ethnicity though, but probably not African.
Settled for that.. titles and zeroes on balance sheets make a man more handsome, as is oft said.
Hey! Wisconsin matters very much Scott, thank you. One of our idiot judges did get smacked back a bit, and ballots have to be in the clerk’s office by end of voting on Tuesday.

The “if you don’t this you aren’t [woman|black|etc]” condescending people really seem to think that wearing a sign saying “I voted for Trump” would convince some racist white guy to hire “you” when normally he’d have nothing to do with a black man. Might, but since we don’t have said signs, a woman can vote for Hillary and still be treated like a skirt.

In full context, it’s pretty obvious that Biden meant that they have an organization people can report incidences of voter fraud to. Out of context,it’s makes for a good jab but I’ve never liked taking things out of context. I’m sure I could go over everything anyone has ever said and construct the quote, “I think…Hitler…was a…really…nifty…guy.” Sure, the individual words span 40 years, but it proves the speaker is a Nazi!

No good.

Leftists don’t see individuals, they see interchangeable members of some group that they have wished into existence.

Five years ago, in the dressing room of a play I was in, the discussion turned to politics. I ventured an opinion (favoring Ted Cruz, IIRC) and a female cast member played the White Male Privilege Card™:

She: You can say that because the whole world is set up to benefit you.

[I’ve had many significant difficulties and challenges in my time. There’s no evidence that I have had any kind of “privilege.”]

Me: Is it? What do you know about my circumstances and how my life has gone? Your problem is that you don’t see Michael Piz, you see “a white male.” That’s a very stupid way to look at things.

She muttered something inaudible and stopped talking.

Sounds like a great exchange as the goal of all such with crazy liberals (I know, redundant) should be to get them to shut up and walk away.

BTW, on the Tonight Show, Chelsea Handler pronounced it “Fifty Cent” and not his preferred “Fiddy Cent.” And she’s his ex-girlfriend. She also offered to give him “another spin” if he drops his support for Trump, if ya knows wha’ she meanz.

Stolen from Robin Williams or Yakov Smirnoff? Always thought Yakov was pretty funny, but RW was one of the funniest people I ever saw on stage.

No idea. I’ve heard it in so many forms from so many people I have no idea where it originated. 🙂

I don’t live in California but, in honor of His Right Royal Highness the Lord Governor Gavin Newsome, I’m going to spend my Thanksgiving alone in a box.

Re: sticking the swab up your own nose

The reason it’s impossible to tickle yourself is that because doing it yourself means that you know it’s coming. I’ve also found that purposely doing something painful to myself is less painful than someone else doing it, probably for the same reason. I imagine it’s the same for the swab.

The Pennsylvania post-election vote count ruling said that votes arriving up to three days after election day must be counted whether or not they have a recognizable postmark and whether or not the voter’s signature on the ballot matches the records.

So drop ’em off on Wednesday through Friday and you, too, can post-vote.

I, too, watched Diana’s wedding along with, believe it or not, my fraternity brothers. Scott’s comment, “Lady, you could have had any guy in the world and you settled for that?” faintly echos my own comment at the time, which was, “Damn. She could’ve had me.”

Trying to wrap my brain around “ignorance is no excuse for unconscious bias.” So far I cannot extract any meaning from those words in that configuration.

Regarding the CA edicts about Thanksgiving Day, I’ve stated the following in other forums:

Anybody comes to my house demanding that I and my family wear masks in presence of each other within my own house, then they will be met with the barrel end of a gun. It’s time that all people say no to this insanity.

Executive orders ARE NOT LAW!

Prince Charles is 71, Edward the VII ascended the throne at 59, he’s reported to have quipped , “I don’t mind praying to the eternal Father but I must be the only man in the country afflicted with an eternal mother.”—Edward VII as Prince of Wales

I think it says a lot about Chelsea that she offer up her body to Fiddy if he’d do what she wants. First off, she’s placing a lot of monetary value on her no-no place. Second, interesting that that’s the first and only bargaining chip she placed on the table. She didn’t offer to do Fiddy’s taxes or manage his tour. Thirdly,… there was a thirdly, I can’t remember what.
Woman’s vacuous and openly a whore.

Bill. You insult goat rodeos.

We are watching a total travesty of a proper election. As usual, so called Republicans go along to get along. The so called Democrats are working over time to create new tricks to steal the election. Trump is the only line in the sand to stop the coming collapse into total madness.

Our last razor thin edged chance is Trump 2020. Then that is only for four more years. At 83, four years might be enough for me. For my two grandsons, not nearly enough.

I was going to post this as well, but then I decided that I was embarrassed that I know this tidbit. 😉

I’m not. It was mentioned in a news article about her comments. Also made me think “if you don’t wanna be called a whore…”

I suppose it does bring up the question though of whether she’s just offering “friends with benefits” bribery or domestic abuse.

Japan is a mask-wearing society, at least when people are sick. But even now, people aren’t wearing masks at tables in restaurants. Maybe California could learn something from Japan.
