Cookie polls predict Trump landslide

If you search news or video sites for “cookie poll,” you’ll find that there are a lot of bakeries selling Trump and Biden cookies.  There’s probably one in your town.  Several bakeries have been doing this for decades, and their sales reliably predict presidential election outcomes.

One such bakery, Lochel’s in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, claims that their election cookies have correctly predicted the past four presidential elections.  Notably, in 2016, Trump’s victory margin was slim, as it was in Pennsylvania overall.  Two weeks ago, Fox News did a story on the cookie poll and the results were then about twice as many Trump cookies sold as Biden cookies.

As of yesterday, Trump’s margin had increased.   It’s now

SIX TO ONE!

They say they’ll make their final tally Tuesday night, no extensions.

Edited to add:  The actual numbers are something close to 30,000 Trump cookies sold vs. less than 5000 Biden cookies.

I suppose most people are buying them to eat or collect, and not smash in effigy, which is something I would expect a lot of Biden supporters to do.
