Are state legislatures the firewall?

New member here, thanks to Bill’s impassioned plea a couple days ago.

Are the state legislatures the firewall?  I ask because it’s likely the fraud is such that Trump will lose in several or all of the close states.  But if he can get courts to declare fraud has sufficiently tainted the outcome in all of the states currently at issue, then the state legislatures decide on the slate of electors and the governors are excluded from the process.  At least that’s my understanding.  Only Nevada has a Democrat majority legislature.

So that would mean Trump wins WI, MI, PA, NC, GA, & AZ under this firewall scenario.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth from the left would be extreme, but this is exactly what the Constitution calls for in this kind of situation.

So I’m just wondering out loud if that’s the planned strategy at this point.  Expose massive, endemic fraud such that a 1-2% vote difference can not be trusted.  Take it to court and have fraud validated.  Then follow the Constitution.

Unless I misunderstand the process, this seems like the path we are on.

The second amendment and an angry armed citizenry is the final fire wall. Thomas Jefferson thought that approach might have to be implemented to preserve the republic. It is looking more and more as if Thomas Jefferson was right.

I’m not a bit surprised. Briefly a man (I don’t know who he represents) put a watermark on all the ballots that were legal. He mentioned it was Trump’s secret surprise and Trump is going to win. Pity it was deleted. I wish you could have seen it.

actually, I did see it, Barbara. Now I wish I had downloaded it to share, tho TBH I have to see that to believe it is true rather than taking that one person’s word for it… hope there is credence to it, obviously

Welcome! Looking forward to talking with you.

I don’t see the election reaching the state legislators. There are now more than enough fraudulent ballots to give the win to Biden. Some outlets have even called Pennsylvania and declared Biden the winner. We have to move on to the next stage of challenging the fraud.

But that’s my point. If a state count is lost but fraud is shown to have potentially impacted the outcome, then a court or maybe a legislature could decertify the vote. Then the constitution calls for state legislatures to determine the electors.

So there are two legal issues to fight. Throw out illegal votes and/or prove fraud. Proving fraud provides the stronger position if it throws the decision to the legislatures in question.

OK, I see it now. I still think the odds are low for it reaching that point, though. Unless there’s a quiet investigation bombshell coming all of a sudden, I question the energy being put into fighting this.
