The recall is half-way to special-election status here in CA. Here’s the rub for us: once the recall is triggered, Newsom will simply appoint himself as the Senator to replace Harris and the effort will be moot.
Oh no really?!! Every time I get excited about the possibility of making some real change and the will of the people being done there always seems to be a way for the opposition to avoid the consequences and continue their devious practices. And I suppose this is why so many give up the fight. It is an uphill battle for sure…

What doesn’t kill us this election HAS to make our party stronger and hopefully wiser to avoid this in the future… assuming we still have a future after all is said and done.
