Whittle For Governor

There may soon be a job opening in the state government of California, as the petition to Recall Governor Gavin Newsom  gains traction. It has already gained 55% of required signatories. Surely it will reach 100% by March 10–the deadline. Who, then, to fill Newsom’s shoes?

Californians are pissed. They’re sick to death of this lockdown nonsense. Not sick enough to defy this tyrant, Newsom, in mass–open their businesses and go back to normal lives. But sick enough to look for anew leader to shepherd them out of this purgatory. Someone who won’t lock them down. Someone who believes in the Bill of Rights. Maybe even the whole Constitution. Someone who believes in free enterprise…liberty, in general. Who could that be? There must be someone in that population of 55 million that fits the bill. …bill
BILL! That’s it! Bill Whittle. Why not Bill Whittle?

Except, the problem is…he’s a Republican. We can’t be electing Republicans, can we? We’re all loyal Democrats here, aren’t we?
But Wait. We elected a Republican before. Remember? A foreign guy. With an accent. What was his name? I forget. Except I remember he was a Republican. Hmmm. Did we recall him?

Ah. Whatever. This lockdown shit has got to go. Whittle’s our man. Let’s run him. Chance it. He’s always telling everybody that they should run for office. Let’s see if he walks the talk.

Postscript: I write the above post with the deepest respect for Bill Whittle. I would not wish him such a ‘nasty job’ as governor of any state; or foist on him an errand that I would not run myself. I did run for governor of Hawaii in 2012. (Check the record.) I did it because the sitting governor, at that time, was a villainous globalist; and I wanted to make sure that people of Hawaii had an option to him. I was truthful to voters saying “The last thing I want to do is be governor of this state.” I even argued before a judge, in court, that ‘I wasn’t qualified for the job.’

In the end, I came in last with 99 votes. (Even my family wouldn’t vote for me. They knew better.) There was one guy who dropped out of the race in mid-stream who got more votes than I did. So,as far as wanting to ‘not be governor’, it was a grand success.

Beyond that, It was tons of fun. A great experience. And people paid closer attention to my message than if I had not been a candidate. I really think Bill should run. Whether he becomes governor or not, he has a lot to offer to California, just in the running.

I agree that Bill would probably do a great job. While perhaps a role in politics isn’t exactly top of his Christmas list, I could see it as a great opportunity to, like you, have a more valid reason for people to listen to him. It could be a great way to increase his audience and get his face in front of more people.

If Bill wanted to run for Gov. I’d vote for him . . . but I’m not moving to CA to do it! Can CA break out of it’s slumber/self-doom? I hope so, but it seems they crossed some point of no return a few years ago as the downward spiral seems to know no depth.
