THIS IS HOW THEY DID IT

I was recently having a conversation with a friend about the whole Culture War thing and how we’re actually in World War 4 now. (Yes, the Cold War was WW3.)

My friend was a little bit skeptical at first, due to her background, which is OK, and she did ask me where the evidence was. I immediately pointed to entertainment. That’s where the smoking gun is.

A large portion, maybe as large as 4 out of 5, of the movies and series produced between the 60s and present time, contain re-education and brainwashing content. Sometimes the ratio is 5 out of 5, and the content ranges from subtle and weaved into an interesting story with cool characters, to blatant propaganda pieces deprived of any quality story-telling, like the disney space war movies. (Yes, I refuse to call those pieces of fetid excrement Star Wars.)

All of this decades-long collectivist/socialist content dumped into theaters and living rooms not only across the US but around the globe, was not only aimed at undermining Western values, but it also sought to create a new narrative, a new vision of life and society as a whole.

This gave rise to new archetypes, such as the evil greedy heartless ruthless businessman who only cares about profit, the benevolent government official, the exhausted, stressed and unhappy employee, among others. And all these archetypes were used and are still being used over and over again.

I have a couple of examples for this post, but it might be fun for you all to help me with more examples in the comments.

Exbibit A:

Movie: Matilda (1996)

Scene description: Danny DeVito’s character explains to his two kids how, “nobody ever got rich being honest.”

Exbibit B:

Movie: Monsters Inc. (2001)

Scene description: Waternoose reveals that he’s willing to do anything to save his business. In the end, he gets arrested by government officials who show up at the power plant like heroes ready to save the day.

Exbibit C:

Movie: Christopher Robin (2018)

Scene description: Due to his soul-crushing job managing efficiency at a manufacturing company, Christopher Robin loses his cool and goes ballistic on his childhood friend Pooh, stating that he’s no longer the same person he once was.

I know there are thousands of examples out there. I know because I spent my childhood and early youth watching some of this stuff, and I didn’t notice the brainwashing content until my mid-thirties when I realized that there is a Culture War going on and that I was and want to remain on the side of Liberty.

This is how they did it. They infiltrated and corrupted education, entertainment, government, and news. They created and sold a story in which The Free Market doesn’t exist or is impossible, and personal responsibility is rarely addressed. All Western values are questioned and attacked, but nothing is said about other philosophies and ways of living, unless it’s some kind of idealizing or praise. The people who created these movies and shows enjoy the benefits of freedom and wealth, but they think the average person is unworthy of them. Hey, if everyone were able to become rich, that’d make Danny DeVito less special, right?

One reply on “THIS IS HOW THEY DID IT”

I would take this a step further to determine who owns/runs the film companies? Who funds the public education? Who is teaching what in today’s colleges? Who’s in charge of all the money needed to run said businesses? Who funded these mega social media corps? How else could they run in the red for so many years?
