Time for a New Party

I think we all agree The Republican Party is broken, and the time has come for something new. New name, new platform, a new set of rules as Bill has outlined in his one term only policy.

Bill is proposing a new party based upon one term candidates. Brett Weinstein is proposing a Unity Party, based upon candidates from the liberal left and conservative right working together to form a party. Ben Shaprio, is always calling for common sense and a reasoned middle.

I would like to see Bill, Eric and Ben get together on a podcast to discuss the issues of how to move forward with a new party to represent the vast middle, 80% in my estimation, of the country who are sick of the far right and far left yelling at each other.

It’s time to throw the garbage government out and start anew!

When did Bill call for a new party? I don’t recall seeing anything like that since I joined here back in May and I don’t recall it from before I joined, though I haven’t seen all the videos from back then. In particular, I’m all but certain he hasn’t mentioned a new party in the recent MB2A series, and that more than any other would be the place to make that call.

He didn’t mention a new party specifically, but he did say a few times he believes we’re beyond Republican and Democrat now. He referred to the Tea Party movement, which kind of worked within the Republican party, and had a specific purpose at a specific time.

I know MB2A isn’t going to be affiliated with any existing party. I guess we’ll see if a new one is in the works.

I believe that new leadership/take over of the RNC and rebranding would work better. Boot out any ene Loyal to conservative Ideals (RINO). When an elected republican or conservative shows that they are not serving in the best interests of the Party or country as a whole then they will no longer be allowed to run on the platform of republican or conservative. Term limits imposed by the new RNC would also be required (since congress refuses) unless that candidate is so demanded by the people.

With all that’s happened since, I doubt anyone remembers the knock-down fight over the national party rules changes the GOP elite rammed through at the 2016 convention (by the sleaziest means imaginable – don’t believe Mike Lee has ever been that animated since). Like all things progressive, the party is now entirely run from the top down, so much so that even the convention delegates have difficulty communicating with each other. Face it; the GOP is an elitist, progressive party: RINOs occupy nearly all red state governorships, as well as holding the leadership positions in red state legislatures. Continuing to ally with them is inviting ourselves to our own fragging. Aren’t we getting enough abuse from the Dem, i.e., Cheater Party without inviting betrayers into our own tent?

I can’t argue that but that’s why I included “take over” The party name in its origins is what I would like to return to and preserve. The RNC chair would in fact become an elected position in this case, again a term limit would be a thing. I would also like to add that another possibility would be an incumbent could run for additional terms but would not be able to campaign during the primary running purely on public opinion and past performance. Heck if they did a really good job then they would win again based on past performance if the case would be.

No question you’re right that it would be more efficient to reoccupy the existing party infrastructure over starting from scratch. Be that as it may, I’ve been watching real Republicans fight (and keep losing) a two-front war since the 1970s. How long do you keep wasting effort and resources trying to patch together a foundation thoroughly infested with rot? As to the party name, the number for whom it has a positive connotation is dwindling with every passing day. And with what McConnell et al have just done, that number is fast on its way to becoming infinitesimal.

Dinesh D’Souza had an interesting comment on his new podcast. He and his wife Debbie were talking about the parallels of America and Venezuela and the comment they made that struck me was this:
That when Hugo Chavez took power he began to silence his critics and then the end fighting within the conservative party in Venezuela began to splinter, leaving NO ONE to voice opposition. I think it might be prudent to avoid splintering off into a “new movement” but instead work to maintain unity and courage among Americans who love the American way of life in order that our voices NOT be silenced into just giving up hope as they did in Venezuala. They lost hope to the point that many don’t even vote anymore, allowing for the corruption to remain and bleed them all dry of the will to live.
Just my humble two cents worth! May God bless this country and keep us.

I remember Bill saying it has to be you who runs for elected office (speaking to all the members). I don’t think we’d be able to make any significant progress into restoring election integrity unless we can get every single BillWhittle.com member who is at all able to run for office in 2022. And treat it as 2 years of jury duty and something you don’t want to do, but have to. Think of it as being a soldier. This is where the battlefield is right now, and we as the few people who really understand what’s going on can’t just desert.

I’m not sure if Bill is specifically proposing a new party, but he is definitely proposing one term rigorously grass roots candidates.

I think I like that idea, but am not sure how to find them, even if I should be one of them.

As for Brett’s idea, I’m not prepared to trust any cooperative effort, and probably won’t be for quite some time. We’ve lost too many to the Japanese grenades.

Shapiro’s idea lacks detail. What is “the middle”? The dictionary definition would likely read: “The policies that are the least offensive to the most people. See also: Swamp”.

There is a middle position that should be had, but it is quite far to the right of anything that would be considered centrist today.

I don’t think a new party should have anything to do with the far/liberal left or the far/extreme right or any party or persons currently in political office.
Generally speaking, the ones in “power” had anywhere from 2-46 years to support the Constitution and our laws and did none of the above.
They’ve been grifting us for generations. They are relics of the past. IMO

But yes we do need to come up with a new replacement party, but lets not bring along the existing “elitists’ intellectual rot” to the new party. I consider Shapiro to be an out of touch elite, the daily wire never actually recognized any of the evidence of voter fraud. Why? Because they knew they were going to grow financially as a result of the election.
Why does Shapiro not fight the left as hard as he could or have any of the fired up “righteous indignation?” Because, Shapiro is himself an elite. He has never to my knowledge ever once been worried about is own personal finances, he is too “high profile” to ever really be cancelled, and for most of his life everyone around him has told his how smart he his.
So what is the result? Shapiro does not see how desperate this fight is, and ultimately he just intellectualizes this fight. This is part of the reason Shapiro never for a second ever understood the Trump/MAGA phenomenon. Victor Davis Hanson, for years now has been pointing out how out of touch the elite class is with the rest of the country, how nothing really effects them in any meaningful way.
The best example is Shapiro’s position on the hollowing out of the middle of the country and the rust belt states of manufacturing. His position was that when the government makes a corrupt deal with other countries and your job gets outsourced, that if your job leaves your town you should tear apart all of your social connections and move to another city and that those jobs are not coming back because the “free market.” So the opioid crisis is your fault according to Shapiro, not big government lining there own pockets through crony-capitalism and corporatism. So everything Trump did on trade that brought factories and jobs rushing back was “protectionism” and “anti-free markets” or “stupid,” and nevermind that the suicide rate due to opioids went through the floor because people got there lives back or that the number of people on food stamps went down for the first time in like 30 years. Everything Trump did went against his perfect little theory.
I forgot where is was going with this. So Shapiro is an elite and unfortunately the reason I find Bill to be far more accurate is because Bill is poorer than Shapiro, sorry if you read this Bill, Bill is closer to the truth because he is closer to the experience of more of the people. Most of us do not have a yearly take home of over 10 million, but Shapiro does. That comes with a certain distance from the reality of the “plebs.”
Sorry for the rant I probably should have just created my own post, lol.

The problem, I learned, is that some states for some reason send out a totally different ballot when you aren’t registered as neither Democrat or Republican, and you end up getting shut-out of some election choices.
And since the vast majority of votes appear to go to Democrat or Republican, it seems that a 3rd party would just become a small minor vote.
Until the laws are changed to allow folks to vote as the please regardless of party, it might be a step backward to be in the ‘other’ party. I am told however that not all states have this issue.

The conventional parties seem to be trying to burn themselves down, not only in the US, but across the west. They all seem infected with ‘I am a global statesman’ virus, forgetting that their job as representative is to represent their constituency.
We need parties that explicitly act in the interests of their own people, because if they don’t, who will. … maybe someone should run under that idea, …. cough.
Any party created will face a wall of ‘you’re a fascist etc’, from the media and the democrat politicians they work for. The party will need to be very careful to gain the support of the grassroots before the slanders can take hold.

Brett Weinstein? Listen to him on the DW livestreams from a couple months ago. He was blaming the hostility in the current politics ALL on conservatives. He blames conservatives for the contention surrounding the Supreme Court nominees. He blames conservative for the left losing they minds on the Supreme Court for blocking Garland from the Court. Even when pushed on the undisputable cases of Robert Borke, or Clarence Thomas, or Brett Kavanagh he still says that conservatives where the cause of all of the political in-civility. He does not even acknowledge calls for violence from his own side.

One would think he would have a different view since he was the one who exposed the Evergreen College, woke takeover and predicted it would spread to every college campus and affect society as a whole in a negative way.
He was fired or forced to resign and did a lot of speaking on it.
