Curious if anyone else heard about this amazing movie. Not a conservative movie , with conservative themes, that is good.
It is a good movie, that happens to have conservative themes.

I watched the trailer and the behind the scenes video, but honestly I couldn’t quite overcome my bias against yet another “heroic female lead”. Would it have been so bad to choose a white male student for the lead role?
Maybe the storyline is nuanced enough to make the choice of a female lead unequivocally the best. I hope so.
I think most people don’t mind a heroic female lead as long as she’s earned the right to be there (not a Mary Sue). Same for “white male student” or whatever other box that can be checked off.
I thought the Cara Dune, Bo Khatan, Fennig, +1 all female team in the last episode of the Mandalorian was believable because they’d all been through some crap for a while.
But I do get kind of an immediate cringe when I see a clip of female heroic lead without enough context to be able to discern whether the character is well written. I’d be hesitant to pay to watch it.
I’ll rely on recommends from friends, like-minded, etc.
Good points. My knee-jerk reaction is because of the onslaught of female leads behaving like men only better that are laughable in their hyperbole. Just irks me and encourages my bias.
I want to see realistically portrayed brave, smart, courageous female characters, demonstrating female strengths and characteristics. For instance, in the movie Infidel, the wife of the lead character is heroic, and she is portrayed realistically
Considering the source behind this movie and the positive responses from conservatives it probably has some merit.
Compelling movie.
Nice that Kyle Rankin did not write her as a mary sue.
She takes down one of the four school shooter, who is female, in a realistic struggle.
She takes down a 2nd shooter, by surprise, in a realistic manner.
Definitely, not a mary sue. She gets savagely beaten by the 3rd shooter, and Her father , thru a reasonable sequence of events, uses his sniper rifle to rescue his daughter. Dad’s around the world cheered as her dad surrendered to police for firing a gun in the vicinity of a an active shooter site.
no more spoilers.
Best movie I’ve seen in years! I realize that’s not saying much, but it’s a relief to know we can still be entertained without being indoctrinated.
I’d be interested, but I’m already subscribed to all I can afford, and unwilling to take on another subscription just to view this movie. Perhaps it will see other channels of distribution later.
There’s a brief period where it’s available to anyone before it goes behind the paywall. Maybe you could catch it before that ends.
I can’t find it out in the open. Seems to require a $14 payment for a monthly subscription , that can be canceled before the next month is due.
Turns out the free access was a one-day thing. I missed the window, too.
