Thoughts on Erick Erickson

I just wanted to feel the temperature within the virtual Liberty Loving community of Bill Whittle and curious about your thoughts on Trump Reluctants. People such as Ben Shapiro and Erick Erickson who don’t love Trump 100% yet call balls and strikes. Those who are skeptical about Q-Anon and its lure of mystic prominence. There is a representative from GA who is a Q-Anon disciple who just filed impeachment proceedings in the house.

I used to pay attention to Erick Erickson, but when Sarah Palin said she would make an announcement about whether she would run for Pres by some date, he became really nasty. On the day, he posted like a jerk every hour, asking when she was going to announce her decision. He was obviously a “Not Sarah” person, and that’s ok. But he was trying to poison the well, make people think she’s a flake, and turn minds away from her message. That’s really “conservative”, right? /sarc
My thought then, was that it is absolutely her decision to make and at the time she chooses. If she slips that deadline, who cares? She had already been run through the shredder, and knew exactly how bad the Left could get, and I’m sure she suspected that the dial had been turned up only to 4 at that point. If she needed more time to decide, who cares?
Well, little red-headed stepchild Erick Erickson evidently cared! He was at CNN at the time, IIRC, nice air-conditioned studio, his every utterance sent to airports around the country to unsuspecting victims, his safety assured, his paycheck assured. No skin in the game. Trying to impress the “swells”.
That’s when I decided that Erick Erickson can pound sand. I have not listened to nor read a single word from him since that day. He showed himself to be a petty jackass, and I don’t have to encourage that.

It’s a bit of a tough situation. You want people to be able to speak their mind and have their own individual opinions; but also in a period of difficult interaction with large groups on either side, you want there to be a consistent message and united action in order to improve the chances of your success.
