While following Bill we shall not expect solution from above, this should not stop us to recognize and praise the few remaining good people who do the good fight in DC.
Sen Paul pulled a really smart move calling senate vote on whether the current sham impeachment is constitutional. This served plenty of good results. One is his speech that got publicity. Then the vote that forced to show colors and flush out the backstabbers. And most importantly, it locks in the result ahead of time.
We know the whole circus was only meant as a blackmail and propaganda stunt. To deliberately being dragged for 6-12-18 months before the final verdict kills it. Till then it can be kept as if a real thing. This vote was constructed to prevent any chance to speculate. If someone declared it is not constitutional on the face, that certainly can’t be changed however the “trials” go.
The dems are left with the option to just drop it as dead stuff — or carry on digging their grave.
