Greetings, my fellow Americans. My name is Marushia Dark – though who I am is of little consequence compared to what I say and do. Tonight, I speak as one of you: a concerned citizen. Concerned with the direction our Republic has taken and how far it has fallen into darkness, straying from its virtuous path. I know right now many of you are angry, afraid, perhaps even feeling hopeless. Your institutions have failed you. Your leaders have failed you. Government, culture, education, healthcare, the economy, the electoral system, the media, the police, the courts, the military, social media … have all been corrupted and destroyed, leaving you feeling helpless with nothing and nowhere to turn.
They have ALL failed you, and will continue to fail you, because up until now, we have only addressed symptoms, never striking at the root cause of the problem … and you see, as I see, that they will only continue to cascade in a downward spiral, spinning out of control, becoming worse and worse until eventually the entire system crashes and our country is nothing more than a burning pile of ash and rubble from which nothing grows but bitterness, terror, division, and resentment … with brother fighting brother in the streets and in your own homes.
This is how many of you feel right now …
You find yourself alone, wondering how it got so wrong, how it can all be fixed, how we can build back hope and trust once more, and whether we will ever again return to normal and see the light of day.
My fellow Americans, I come to you this day, emerging from the darkness, to bring you a message of hope and light. That our country is strong because its people are strong. Though we have stumbled and fallen along the rocky road, we have the strength within us to stand back up, to rebuild, to restore, and to make America greater than ever.
I understand it might be hard to believe that.
Right now, our country is in crisis. There is lawlessness in our streets and division in our culture and institutions as well. Chaos reigns, and if nothing is done to stop it, then it will be that much harder to stop in the future; and therefore we must act NOW in this eleventh hour to prevent ten thousand years of darkness.
To do this, we can no longer rely on those same methods that led us here. Something profoundly new and different is required, and I understand full well how scary that can be for many of you. And you have every right to fear change, because there are many who would exploit your emotions and use such crisis as an excuse to usher in a more nefarious agenda of domination and control. Nevertheless, a positive change is both necessary and inevitable.
Trust is like a precious vase – beautiful, yet fragile. Once broken, you might try to fix it, but there will forever be seams – visible cracks and tarnish – and so, why not fill those seams with gold and lean INTO the flaws, embracing them as part of the history of the piece, and transforming them into something better than what we had?
The same tactics and strategies and institutions that led us here cannot get us out of this mess. The same shattered pieces will not remake the whole – at least not on their own. They require something be added. They require you and me. For decades now, our government has failed in its most basic duty to protect us, and thus, to secure our liberty, we require a government in exile. A virtual government.
Right now, Virtual SecDef Bill Whittle has been hard at work crafting plans to move us all back to America and reclaim what has been stolen and destroyed. I, in turn, have answered his call and taken up the mantle he once held of Virtual President, and will be making weekly addresses to you, the American people.
Naturally, you might have a thousand questions about this, beginning with who the hell do I think I am that I can do this and by what authority? The answer is, that right now, America no longer has a President. A pretender currently sits on the throne. A hollow, vacuous shell, and a puppet for those dark forces behind the curtain, whose names and faces we all know and have known for decades, but are too afraid to speak of or stand against lest they turn their considerable power on us and destroy us.
With few exceptions, the men and women holding office are merely a farce – a sideshow – placed there by their corporate masters who hold no love or loyalty towards this country. They and the fruits of their endeavors are nothing more than bread and circus meant to placate and control the masses, herding them into blind obedience while our rights are stripped away. They were not chosen from among the people by the will of the people, but through backroom deals and cloak and dagger rituals; and thus, you and I have as much legitimacy to lead this country as any one of them – perhaps even more-so, for our Republic was born with the noble ideal that greatness can come from anywhere, even the darkest, most-forgotten corners.
You might ask why me. What qualifies ME specifically; and under normal circumstances, I would say that my eagerness to fill the role is exactly what ought to disqualify me, because I know myself – I know the darkness that lies in my own heart, and I cannot guarantee that I, or anyone else, has the strength of will to stand alone in the face of those corrupting forces that drive good men towards evil.
However, I am NOT alone. I have all of you to help me in this regard.
I at least have the humility to recognize the limits of my power. Those limits are whatever you, the American people, decide they are, and that is why it doesn’t matter who I am, for I am simply here to serve YOU. You will be what keeps me accountable these next four years and that is your part of the contract. No one can delegate a right or power they themselves do not possess, and thus it is only you, the individual men and women of this country, who can decide what is best for you.
This is not a task I want, not a role I desire. Like all of you, I would rather live a quiet, simple life; but these are hard times, and I must answer the call to stand up and be counted or else face my own shame at having done nothing and allowed evil to flourish.
In moments of crises, people naturally look to a leader to bring order. In overwhelming darkness, one cannot help but look towards the light; but that has been our problem all along – we look outside ourselves to find the answer – and my role as Virtual President will simply be to turn your gaze around, to have you look inward, for that is where America lies. The light of liberty lies within you. Each and every one of you, and that America can never die, so long as there is one solitary heart left to bear it.
I know this, even if you don’t, because for all the darkness, there is light in me as well; and that light sees and honors the light in you; and like a tiny candle flame standing alone in the darkness, this light can be passed on and grown to become a brilliant bonfire or burning star if enough of us gather together to nurture that flame – those dying embers that have been quelled and dampened, but not yet gone out.
For as long as I am able, I shall endeavor to help you find that light and bring it out into the world where it is needed. Our light will shine unto the heavens, and together, with your help, we shall drive back the darkness and seal it away for another ten-thousand years. We will learn from our mistakes. We will move with love and peace in our hearts. We will reclaim what was stolen and rebuild what was destroyed. We will rekindle hope and reforge the bonds of trust that bind us together. We will restore law and order. We will generate prosperity and unleash our country’s genius. We shall fight the wicked wherever we find them and drive them from our midst. We shall safeguard the helpless and once again be a force for good in this world.
We shall make America greater than ever and build a future of freedom for all.
