Beta-testers have offered various complaints and suggestions about the “Shows by Date” feature which used to reside in the right sidebar and allow you to locate shows, and even blog posts, according to when they appeared on the site.
As a result, we’ve moved the show calendar to its own page, which you can access by clicking “Shows by Date” in the show menu on the right side, or by mousing-over the Shows link up top and clicking the dropdown “Shows by Date” link.
In the process, we’ve also made the calendar slightly more attractive.

Yeah, that is a little weird.
