Some unions, especially teachers unions are more bad than good. But sometimes unions are necessary.Example: Some years ago, the county I was in had a level 3 snow emergency, which means not to go on the roads unless its an emergency. My department made us take either vacation or sick time if we did not come in. Just about every other department (same building) let us take admin time so as not use our time. We had to get the union lawyer involved to get SOME of the time back. Absurd. “Drive in!” They said. We could not get out of the driveway. “Take a bus!” Nearest bus over a mile away, up and down hills, with my wife having a bad knee and officially handicapped. (We worked at the same place) Just plain evil. They gave her time back and part of mine. Sick bas*****!
