Republican primary for Texas Governor presently has these candidates:
Greg Abbott
Lt. Col. Allen West
Don Huffines
Chad Prather

It would be amazing to get Allen as Texas Governor and to follow that up with Elder for Governor for California, that would taste like hope.

We will see if the population is able to pick between two great choices Allen or Abbot, over the celebrity power of Mcconaughey, I am not convinced that the celebrity factor will win out over the competence of either Allen or Abbot, but there is a good shot for at least an interesting primary season depending on what party Mcconaughey runs for.

Ex-Rep. Allen West Leaving South Florida for Texas | Newsmax.com
This was in 2014. The reason why I believe is this—–
True the Vote Sues St. Lucie County, FL Over ‘Botched’ Allen West Contest (breitbart.com)
Small Excerpt Below:
On election night, the West campaign grew concerned after St. Lucie County administrators claimed tabulation machines malfunctioned when processing early votes. County workers scrambled to hand-feed the multi-page ballots. Two days later, on November 8, preliminary vote totals were failing to match ballots received in various precincts. West demanded a full recount of early votes cast throughout the county and access to poll sign-in records. Both requests were denied and ignored, respectively.

Guess I missed when Lt. Col West moved to Texas. I thought he was from Florida.
Though I agree with Henry, this does make for a nice change. I would like to see them have a couple of good civil, debates that show the whole country how real Republicans look and act and think.
