Bill Whittle’s Soaring Independence Day

Bill Whittle's Soaring Independence Day
From Bill Whittle…Well, last night (7-4-2021) was one of the absolute high points of my life. I simply cannot believe that I spent the night of the Fourth of July listening to the (pre-release) Dick Rutan episode of America’s Forgotten Heroes sitting next to Dick and Burt Rutan. I’m very proud of that episode, and when Dick told me he was very proud of me I just about flew around the world nonstop myself. After the show he presented me with something that I treasure very highly: embedded in this piece of Lucite, are a few drops of oil from the Voyager’s around the world flight. This oil ran for over 200 hours nonstop and traveled nearly 30,000 miles. This oil brought them back safely and I’m very honored to be able to tell that story.

Americas Forgotten Heroes had reached number two worldwide on Apple podcasts a few days ago. I cannot believe that I was able to touch this history As closely as I have been able to, and I wanted to thank all of you — our Members — for making that possible.

Wow! So happy that you enjoyed a fitting reward for your superb programs. I have enjoyed every minute of them – and what spellbinding minutes they are. Though spoken audio is my favorite medium, to draw the wider audience who doesn’t share my preference, I wish Daily Wire would also release them in video format. What a wonderful resource they’d be for high school classrooms.

Well, that has to be the best reason to miss work that I have ever heard of, but seriously, serious kudos to you Bill, congratulations, hope you have stories for the next TSL. We would really like to see you do an interview series with both of them about aviation and human space travel.

So happy for you…and us. After all, we have the benefit of your remarkable skills at presenting history, often a history no one knows, about events and people who have impacted our lives, our country or theirs in glorious ways in a singularly engaging manner that makes us come back for more and more and more. I’m sure I am speaking for all of us, if you weren’t worth it, we wouldn’t pay for it. Thank you, Bill, for enlarging my life beyond the small confines of the day to day mundane.

I haven’t listened to the episodes yet. I’m kinda weird in that sometimes I “save” something I know I’m going to love, just to enjoy the prolonged anticipation of that moment when I finally immerse myself in it.

What an incredible way to spend Independence Day.
I have only listened to the first episode, and thought it was great. It was a story I had never heard. And since you think it is the worst of the seven, I am excitedly looking forward to the rest of them.
