Saturday Night Videos – Surf Music!

I learned something last night. Before heading out for vacation I wrote up a few posts so I could just drop them on the appropriate day and forget about it. So last night I threw the switch to make my post live and… nothing on the home page. I check my blog posts and it was showing active, but for the day I wrote it, not when I posted. Yep, there it was buried on page 3 of the posts. Not that many people click on these, but at least now my post has a chance.

So without further ado, Take 2!

Continuing with the summer music I pulled together before heading out for vacation. Let’s get some good old school surf music!

First off, you can’t have surf music without The Beach Boys. Surfin’ Safari is the obvious choice, so instead let’s catch a wave:

Pipeline is another classic, and let’s have Anthrax’s more modern take (which is now 30 years old):

And of course, Dick Dale:

Who ya got??

How do you get the thumbnails to appear as part of your posts? Good advice, by the way, on drafting posts in advance. I would have never known.

Not sure about the thumbs – they don’t show on the home page anyway so I chose to not hump Scott’s leg overthis one. I harass him on enough other stuff already!

I don’t know bro. My exact same thought when my buddy played them for me.

The Murlocs. Hard to classify. Surferish, but they’re original and hard to pinpoint. One of the reasons I enjoy them. Hope you do too…

Surfer plus Doors plus Janis plus RHCP plus ?????
It’s like they all fell into a vat of Joker acid and these guys came out.

Good description. If I had to classify them I’m thinking along the classless lines of “The kind of band you want to hear as you open the doors to the bar you just entered”

Exactly. I wasn’t quite sure how to put it, but they’re the sound that makes me walk into a bar I’ve never been before. It’s almost like every single day in the 80’s and 90’s before ClearChannel took over and Cilve Davis became irrelevant.

“Classless” lol. My friends say there’s nothing like a class act, and Jeremy you’re nothing like a class act.
Not the way you meant it I know. Just thought I’d pass along something for your arsenal.

Oh Brother where art thou? I might not make every Friday night, but as Willie says, “You Were Always on My Mind” though maybe not in the way that song intends (I’m superstraight). So speaking for myself, I’m a clicker and look forward to your contributions. Glad you reposted for Saturday.
Hope you’re having a fantabulous vacation. Always appreciate your contributions. I’ve been MIA for a minute sorting through the mess. Back now though.
Cheers my friend. God bless you and yours.

P.S. Love the picture of you and Little Brother Bob on your Eagles Top 100 blog.

Vaca got cut a bit short, but all good. Thanks for the props, always appreciated. Even if these posts aren’t getting a lot of attention, they’re low labor / lots of fun to write.
And on that note, this weekend’s post is up!

Will mos def check out your new post. Sorry your vaca was cut short, but you and Sister Bob (I don’t have her official title in front of me; that’ll teach me to hire second-grade help) are welcome on my future yacht in my fantasy life any time.

Sister Babe…Sister Bob…Tomato…Tomatoh…lol. Hope you are both doing great.

And thanks for the props on the post of me & Little Bob. I look forward to the day I update that post again, but if ever it probably wont be for at least 20 years. F***ing Goodell…

Dude the only thing keeping me rooting for my Brownies are years of heartache, the Drive, the Fumble and despite all indications to the contrary, Baker Maryfield officially saying he doesn’t care about all the woke garbage but prefers team unity which is as close to a take a long walk off a short pier that we’ll get in public these days.
My former baseball team, on the other hand, can take a flying leap. I suffered countless sub-500 seasons for them to cave to a few random Marxist virtue-signalers hated by even their own tribes?
No thanks.
They had to repeat their own study twice to get the results they wanted. It consisted of…horror of horrors…asking young American Indians how they felt when they heard certain words.

What a colossal joke. Good news is the mainstream is finally catching on.

Good times ahead!!!
