Maj. Gen. Christopher Donahue, in a now famous night-vision image, becomes the last U.S. soldier out of Afghanistan. But Bill Whittle recounts that Donahue removed a number of Afghan refugees from the plane to make room for a ‘war trophy’ — a Taliban truck with anti-aircraft gun mount. Bill wants to see Donahue’s list.

The clip from “Schlinder’s List” is clear testament to the kind of good people all over the world during era of WWII vs the type of people even Americans have become today.
I’m devastated. I lost all confidence in the FBI and CIA in 2017. Now it seems the military generals are falling off the pedestal. Is there anyone left with honor and integrity??
For reasons too long to go into, I am online most of the day and into the night every day since August 15 with Afghans who were left behind. They are in hiding and fearing for the lives of themselves and all the rest of their families. Just today one of them told me that his mother was shot dead by Taliban looking for him. Another whose sister-in-law and her two adult sons killed by Taliban looking for him. Two whose relatives were murdered by being cut into little pieces till they died. Hazaras murdered in ways that spilled more blood than I ever want to see again. The cousin of one murdered with her whole family. One who killed himself because he had no way to feed his family–and many families going hungry because the breadwinner has no way to buy food since there is now no salary with which to purchase it. It goes on and on!!!!! And all of these men desperate to get out to save their families from murder, starvation, rape of daughters, etc.
And Donohue has his trophy! What have we become? What has our military become? Sick and Godless!
IF what you stated is accurate, then the General should be tried in a military court. However, 116,000 Afghans were evacuated, per State Dept numbers, and only 7,000 were Special Immigrant Visa personnel. The majority of the SIVs were left behind. So who were all these other Afghans we took out? And why didn’t we do a better job of getting the SIVs out? That’s the bigger question that needs to be answered by our vaunted military. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/09/01/state-dept-admits-the-majority-of-afghans-and-sivs-who-helped-us-did-not-evacuate-so-who-are-these-116000-afghans-we-evacuated/
Sadly, he has a future in The Pentagon today
I do not doubt your word for a minute, Bill. I have always known you to be a stalwart supporter of our military forces and personnel in your public words. But …
I need a source for this because this is the first I’ve heard of it and there are people to whose attention this needs to be brought. If all I have to point to is a video produced by BillWhittle.com that’s not going to be enough. People who don’t know you might not have as much faith in what you say as I do.
A quick search didn’t turn up anything helpful. Lot’s of praise for Donahue. Lots of Chris Donahue being treated as an American hero of Hal Moore caliber. Nothing about kicking any refugees off the plane to board a piece of mobile ordinance.
Help me out here. Give me something solid and unequivocal I can use.
Please.

Got a link for this hideous story?

How utterly shameful of him.
Unless Chris Donahue was under orders to bring back that piece of ordinance at all costs, not only shameful but criminal.
Why do I say “under orders”? Because it is conceivable but not likely that our intel people needed that particular piece of gear in order to reverse engineer it, figure out a countermeasure, and use that knowledge to save American war-fighters lives if/when that weapon shows up in a future conflict.
Let me be absolutely clear, I’m not saying that’s what happened. What I’m saying is that is the only way doing what Chris Donahue did can be justified. And I don’t think it applies, I’m just pointing something out that some people might not be aware of.
Perhaps that is the case, but it seems to me that procuring one more plane would have been appropriate. Oh … wait! We probably ran out because of the recent military equipment fire sale hosted by the Towel-heads.
