I don’t know if this has been reported much Stateside yet. As we gathered across the country yesterday to remember those who gave their lives for us in two world wars and many other conflicts, someone was planning to kill even more people.
The video here shows graphically (be advised) the detonation of what seems to be a suicide vest inside a cab. The original destination was the Act of Remembrance at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral (pictured in the thumbnail), but traffic had caused delays and the driver was told to go to the nearby Women’s Hospital instead. He managed to lock the bomber in the cab and miraculously survived the blast, the bomber did not. Three men have been arrested in connection with the case. I’m so tired of the left constructing strawmen by saying I hate all Muslims (or pick your pet victim group) for suggesting that a suicide bombing might not be the way I want to spend a Sunday afternoon. There’s no way to reform Islam as you can never tell the good Muslims from the bad Muslims. The whole, “But my Muslim friend is peaceful! You hateful bastard!!!” is a complete strawman.
I’m not saying your Muslim friend isn’t peaceful. I’m just saying they might be a lying terrorist.
And that’s why anyone seeking peace shouldn’t belong to Islam. They shouldn’t want to be an accessory to murder albeit an unknowing one.

It’s now coming out that he was a man called Emad al-Swealmeen, a Syrian “refugee”, who had lived for 8 months with a very nice old Christian couple (you can just about see the Guardian newsprint on their well meaning hands) and claimed he’d converted to Christianity. Four men have been arrested in connection with the attack. There is speculation that the explosion in the cab was just the detonator, and that the main charge failed to explode.

Well if they’re role playing conversion to Christianity, that just supports my previous notion that any effort at a reformed Islam would just be infiltrated and abused by the terrorists. There also aren’t 20% of Christians worldwide totaling over 200 million who want to blow up the West, and Christians haven’t mounted two previous attempts at world domination while now quietly being at work on their third.

Even if the good Muslims started a whole new Reformed Islam religion, the bad ones would still infiltrate and use it as cover. Very hard to combat evil which has no governing principle other than “by any means necessary.”
