Critical Race Theory being banned in schools.

So far at least eight states have banned Critical Race Theory as any part of any curriculum in any public schools.  That’s sixteen percent of the total States in this year alone and we haven’t even begun an actual election year yet.

North Dakota was the most recent and why this is of importance.

Banning CRT is important but …  Leftists will try to say you don’t know what you’re talking about and demand you define CRT.  This can be a problem for some people because they’ve heard so much about it and it seems to cover such a broad scope.  North Dakota has solved this problem for us by clearly defining CRT in brief, accurate, simple terms —

CRT is … “the theory that racism is not merely the product of learned individual bias or prejudice, but that racism is systematically embedded in American society and the American legal system to facilitate racial inequality.”

That’s easy.  Study it, memorize it, don’t get caught hemming and hawing when some Leftist git thinks they’ve got you by the short hairs if you can’t spit out a definition of CRT.

This is one of the not silver but golden bullets politically speaking for the next at least two election cycles.   It’s a big part of what got Glen Youngkin elected.  According to Fox News —

“A Fox News voter analysis of the Virginia governor’s race last week showed that one-quarter of voters cited the CRT debate as the single most important factor on their minds when they cast their votes. Among those voters, 71% voted for Republican Glenn Youngkin, who won the election. “

A huge issue in that election was also the discovery that a boy who dresses up as a girl raped a real girl in the girls bathroom in a high school in Loudoun County, VA.  The rape was bad enough, surely, but compounding that exponentially was the fact that the Loudoun County School Board tried to cover up that crime and silence the father of the girl who was raped.

Many of us throw up our hands and say “The country is going to hell but what can I do about it?”

You can study these things and make as big a stink about them as you’re able.  From the terrible economy to our new dependency on foreign oil to runaway inflation to supply chain breakdown and onward.  Learn about the key issues and be vocal.  The Left is no longer hiding its true agenda, make them wear it every chance you get.

That’s what you can do about it.

Feel free to add anything else you can see that is a golden bullet straight to the heart of Leftist lycanthropy.  The wolf is among us, let him have it good and hard.

I’m not a parent and it usually doesn’t work well for non-parents to advise parents on parenting but here’s my idea anyway.
Parents have expectations of their about communicating various problems and issues that arise at school. They want their children to come home and tell them about things like drugs, bullying, inappropriate behavior involving students or faculty, general safety issues, the list goes on.
I have heard many stories about school children being separated by skin color into groups in order to perform various classroom activities and “lessons”
Maybe these sorts of “lessons” could go on the list of things that kids are expected to tell their parents about. It’s a touchy subject because parents, generally speaking, don’t want to confuse their kids. I guess I’m thinking about it in terms of setting up a communication system that even young kids can understand and also tells parents when a red flag may be happening at school. Whether the red flag denotes CRT being taught or not (regardless of whether or not the school calls it that) the parents know that maybe they should start communicating with each other and getting more involved.
My mind keeps drifting to the evolution vs intelligent design debate. When the kids get home, parents talk with their kids about their family beliefs as they see fit.
Basically I think I’m trying to say that there must be a way to get parents together and speaking with one calm adult voice. I’d be willing to bet that these sorts of “lessons” and activities would be agreed upon by a solid 80% – 90% of American parents to be red flags at the very least.
Bitching about a “theory” based upon books written by crazy people isn’t a real strong position to go to the school board meeting with. It’s too easily deflected, confused and obfuscated.
Anyway that’s my idea. I stand prepared for a bunch of parents to call me a knucklehead. It’s ok. I probably deserve it.

We’ve (people other than you and including myself) had this sort of discussion before, I don’t know if you missed it or are trying to add to it.

Back when I was raising my boys, I or my wife would ask them every evening, usually as a topic at the dinner table, “What did you learn in school today?”

My kids knew that a response of “Oh, nothing much” or something like that was unacceptable. They were thinking about how they were going to answer that question right up until it was asked and they knew it would be asked.

So yes, parents need to pay attention to their kids and the education of those kids is a vital thing needing attention paid to.

That should catch you up a bit on this particular topic. So that said …

I disagree strongly with —

“Bitching about a “theory” based upon books written by crazy people isn’t a real strong position to go to the school board meeting with. It’s too easily deflected, confused and obfuscated.”

If that were true then any “theory” can be taught as fact and we should just shut up about it because it’s not a “real strong position”. It is in fact a very strong position when that theory being taught as fact is a part of the curriculum either officially or unofficially.

That is why North Dakota and other States have enacted laws to stop that sort of thing. Their laws are rooted in the position that educational curriculum must be fact oriented. Not “theory”, whether that be Critical Race Theory or any other theory.

Preventing our political opponents from teaching our kids lies in school is a very, very strong position. Once those lies gain traction it doesn’t matter what their origin is. Communism is based on the Marxist Theory of Class Struggle. If we were to refrain from “bitching about a “theory” based upon books written by crazy people” then we would have to ignore the teaching of Communism to our kids.

Not teaching “about” Communism, teaching Communist doctrine as a viable, preferential political system. Kids need to learn about Communism and how it has universally failed every time it has been implemented. They do not need to have that sort of factual information glossed over, ignored or concealed and Communism promoted as a good, modern, correct political aspiration.

So I’m afraid I may have missed your point somewhere.

Because using CRT as a motivator to get parents to the polls and voting against the people who have been insidiously trying to teach that to our kids is a very, very strong position indeed. No decent, thoughtful loving parent wants his kids taught that they are congenitally and hereditarily either racists or victims of racists. Trying to teach kids that, as I pointed out above in my blog post, has been proven to be an exceptionally strong motivator. That’s not in question, it’s a fact.

I have a habit of making weird pedantic points sometimes. It was not my intention to say that pushing back against awful ideas is in any way a bad thing. I guess I’m just as frustrated as anyone with this garbage. I think I’ll leave the parenty stuff to parents.
BTW I totally agree with you when you say “make them wear it every chance you get”
Well said. Upon rereading I see how my ramblings sounded stupidly contrarian.

Yeah, I was pretty sure we were both headed in the same direction. I don’t get snarky with people unless they get snarky with me first, or are genuinely stupid, malicious or polemic.

I just wanted to be clear on what you were saying and what I was talking about so that people don’t get the wrong impression.

If you’re a homeowner and/or a small business owner (groups traditionally taxed for school systems) you absolutely should be paying attention to what’s going on in your local school board though. You might not have any kids but you’re still paying for how the kids of others are educated and that gives you a say in the matter.

As a reasonable, compassionate, responsible adult you also have every right to care about the kids in your proximity.

I’m not saying you’re remiss if you don’t attend and speak up at every school board meeting. I’m saying to keep your ear to the ground so when you go into the voting booth you can make informed choices. Those kids will grow up to either be good citizens and participants in the local commerce or they will grow up burning down the local commerce, driving down property values and in general being a serious PITA.

In America you have a right to a say in things that affect you. The state of your community most certainly has an effect on you.

The Left often tries to convince you that certain topics are none of your business and you have to butt out of those things. That’s rarely the case.

Take the abortion issue for example. The Left tries to make it all about “women’s reproductive rights”, “women’s health issues”, “my body my choice” etc. But there are two parties involved in initiating a pregnancy. Two people, two distinct sets of genes, two human beings who should each have a say. Then add in the secondary and tertiary impacts to our communities and our societies.

The Left tells us it’s none of our business if we’re disgusting, patriarchal, domineering, dangerous, aggressive males. Not true at all.

It doesn’t matter where you stand on abortion, that’s not my point. My point is that you absolutely have a right to your own say about things that affect the condition of your community and society. The political opposition will absolutely have a say regarding almost anything and they will try to keep you from having your own say with lies, intimidation, false shame and a bunch of other sneaky tricks so …

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, all they’re trying to do is limit your scope and put you in a box, then ridicule that box to bind you and nullify your voice. It’s a serious mistake to let that happen whether it’s school board issues or anything else.

“Yeah, I was pretty sure we were both headed in the same direction. I don’t get snarky with people unless they get snarky with me first, or are genuinely stupid, malicious or polemic.”

Still haven’t proved your case buddy, and for the record, you were absolutely the first to get snarky.

0-7.

Now you’re just outright stalking me. Congratulations, you’ve made it all the way to full creepy. Do some more creepy weirdo things so every one can see them.

Not stalking at all bud. You’re not that timeworthy. But congrats on the continued unfounded accusations. Way to play the victim while being the one continuing to throw barbs such as your quote I included in my post.

YYSSW, yet here you are replying to my blog post with obvious belligerence. I’m not your “buddy” and I’m not your “bud”. What I am is tired of your excuses. I’m not playing your game. What part of “drop it” doesn’t make it through to you?

Nevermind, keep stalking me, it only hurts you not me. I’ll just keep pointing it out and laughing at you. Unless you decide to drop this silly feud you seem to want to prosecute so badly you get nothing but mockery out of me from here on out.

I’m not “playing the victim” you’re playing the fool and it’s fine with me if you keep that up. That your little vendetta is so pathetic is just icing on the cake.

It’s kind of nice knowing that I’ve wounded your fragile ego badly you don’t care, or know, that you’re bleeding all over the place in front of everyone.

Keep it up if you want. Suit yourself. It’s still more or less a free country.

My ego isn’t fragile bud. You’re the one crying about polemics and being assaulted. Go ahead and name one “excuse” I’ve made. As far as “fragile egos,” you’re the one who, after being shown that you’re incorrect, can’t drop it yet continues to pursue the issue on other threads.

What part of continuing to cast aspersions on your part in any way shape or form constitutes “dropping it”?

You’re entirely self-unaware of yet again another issue, which makes your running Dunning-Kruger record now 0-8.

As far as mockery, you have nothing but baseless insults or accusations, another staple of the left. I’ve made no excuses. I’ve dismantled your arguments. I’ve backed up every point.

Feel free to ACTUALLY DROP IT.

(Yawn) Didn’t click the “read more” link. I’m impressed with your “I’m rubber you’re glue, what you say bounces off me and sticks to you” retort though. That’s very 3rd grade of you. Astonishing, amazing, stupendous. You really told me off. Not.

I DID click the “read more” link you moron AS EVIDENCED BY MY FIRST STATEMENT ADDRESSING YOUR ACCUSATION OF ME HAVING A FRAGILE EGO WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE “READ MORE” PORTION OF YOUR POST.

Dunning-Kruger score…0-9.

Nice strawman…AGAIN. I’m not saying “I’m rubber, you’re glue, etc.” you moron. You see. I provided ACTUAL EVIDENCE of your fragile ego as YOU are the one who won’t let it go. Good Lord. YOU are the one who initially said I “just didn’t understand your post about Trump.” YOU are the one who continued it not once, but twice on other threads. YOU are the one who made mistakes which I enumerated. Yet YOU seem think you’re the king’s sh’t. You’re not.

And why won’t you let it go? Your FRAGILE EGO won’t allow you to exit without having the last word, and what you don’t understand, Mr. Dunning-Kruger, is that when YOU are the one poking the bear, it is NOT THE BEAR’S FAULT WHEN THEY RESPOND. IT IS YOUR FAULT.

Frankly, this is my last post with you. I have way too many other and better things to do than continue to highlight your lack of self-awareness and stupidity which, with the more recent example relating to your COMPLETE LACK OF UNDERSTANDING THAT WHEN YOU MAKE AN ACCUSATION YOU SHOULD EXPECT A RESPONSE, puts your Dunning-Kruger record at…

…drum roll please…

0-10.

Congratulations! You hit double digits!!!

Most people would learn from this, but you won’t. Like I said, I have better things to do, and if anyone is that interested, they can go back and see all the mistakes you’ve made to display your stupidity while pretending to be intelligent which makes you the Dunning-Kruger sufferer not the rest of us as was your claim.

You are dismissed. I encourage you to grow up, accept the loss and move on with your life.

You don’t need to be a parent to get involved as a concerned citizen. Those kids are going to graduate and affect your freedom as voting citizens. CRT is Marxist garbage and should be flushed from our school systems ASAP.

https://christopherrufo.com/
Christopher Rufo has been leading the charge in the fight. Here he is being interviewed by Dave Rubin at the National Conservatism Conference in Florida on November 3, 2021.

How CRT Backfired & Blew Up in Democrats’ Faces | Christopher Rufo | POLITICS | Rubin Report
https://youtu.be/zRcOaSyc3Rw

He’s actually using the left’s strategy against them…”A small group of people with a fierce commitment to the truth, with a sophisticated strategy to subvert this stuff can move the needle.”

He describes the movement among parents as grassroots and decentralized. I’m sure your local community group will appreciate your help in whatever form that may come.

In full context, CRT is part of the youth indoctrination strategy by the Marxist globalists coming on the heels of the Zinn Education Project (last 50 years or so) and the 1619 Project to brainwash our youth into believing that America is a racist country built on stolen land on the backs of slaves and therefore not worth saving and anyone thinking so should be wracking themselves with white guilt as a patriot.

Other levers of neverending power with no definitive solutions are climate change and the pandemic…both explicitly stated by the globalists as justification for their Great Reset. Also equity, wealth inequality and the victim-group generator of intersectionality which uses race, sexuality, gender (gender theory is the cousin to CRT and one which Rufo hints at taking on) to create victim groups to be leveraged for power in true Saul Alinksy fashion (“Rules for Radicals” admires Lucifer as the first radical).

This is evil incarnate, and it’s at our doorstep in the form of not just the Democrat Party and RINO’s but all globalists in government including the deep state or those who look the other way.

If you want a good primer on the full history of Marxism in America stretching back from today’s Democrats to the 1930’s (Obama was buds with Derek Bell, one of the proponents of the CRT we see today), I recommend the two Agenda videos on Curtis Bowers’s YouTube channel as well as his interview with Alex Newman on the deep state. Glenn Beck on YouTube for the current relationship between the globalist, Marxists and our woke corporations. Bannons War Room on Rumble for the globalists’ goals including transhumanism in about 5 years or so.

Interesting times. Wild stuff.

Just an afterthought …

The ACLU is claiming that banning CRT from school curricula is an infringement of the First Amendment’s guarantee of Freedom of Speech.

They’re wrong. That’s not going to ever get legs in any court.

No one is saying you can’t talk about CRT, that you can’t discuss it or that you cannot voice an opinion on it. They’re saying that you can’t teach it in schools. You especially cannot teach it as a theory presented as a fact. Most of the schools that have banned it have done so on the basis of “fact based education”. CRT is not a fact, it’s a tool of the Left.

Funny how if CRT doesn’t exist the ACLU is trying to defend it, huh?

It’s kind of off the topic but is there another group at all like the ACLU that you know of? I consider the ACLU to be quite lost at this point and your afterthought made me wonder who the “runner up” would be. I know the ACLU has been around forever and they’ve got all the lawyers and stuff. Seems like the harm they do greatly outweighs any good.

I’m not sure if you mean another organization like the ACLU, as in doing the same sort of work on the same side of the fence … Or if you mean another organization countering the ACLU on the other side, our side.

If the latter then that would be the ACLJ, the American Center for Law & Justice. Their chief counsel is Jay Sekulow, whom you might have heard of on Conservative media outlets.

They do a lot and they do a good job. They just don’t get the broad media coverage of the ACLU for obvious reasons.
