Just to be clear, I’m a grandpa and I don’t and have not ever acted like that with my grandkids or any other kids. It’s not a “grandfatherly” thing to do, it’s a disrespectful thing to do to kids. Kids pick up on that stuff too and very quickly.
The best way to teach a kid respect is to show them what that looks like from their end.
Some twit on Twitter said “I take it you people don’t have any grandparents”, trying to normalize this sort of absurd behavior and thereby excuse it.
I tweeted back “Of course we do. Ours just aren’t creepy like yours and Joe. That’s not normal behavior and if you think it is that says a lot too. LGBFJB”
Seems the little girl knows how to handle the limits of what she will allow.
