At this point, a year since the last Presidential Election, some things are becoming obvious.
During the Democrat primary elections it became clear that Bernie Sanders was going to get the Democrat nomination. The DNC was all too aware that not only is Bernie more unlikeable than Donald Trump, his policies are so far Left that he had no hope of winning the Oval Office. The Democrat Party was about to nominate an unwinnable candidate.
The problem is that Bernie Sanders was far enough ahead of the other Democrat candidates that it was no easy matter to just favor someone else in the hope that Bernie would not get the nomination and hand a resounding defeat to the Democrat Party. The DNC’s hard veer towards the hard Left left them in a pickle with no good choices for a winning candidate.
The Democrat Party as an entity was aware that four more years of Donald Trump would render them impotent for the foreseeable future. Trump being a social moderate and an economic conservative was just doing way too many good things for America. He was stealing their thunder on social issues and his policies were creating a prosperous, strong America. An act of desperation was in order thereby.
A necessary deal was struck. The Democrat Party would promote Joe Biden, a former Vice President and obvious Obama acolyte, as “the reasonable candidate who would bring back normalcy to America”. Please note, these are not my words and ‘normalcy’ as defined by the Democrat Party is no longer anything resembling normal.
So Joe was sold to us as a mostly harmless old Grandpa type that wouldn’t do anything unexpected or unorthodox. We were told that Joe would represent the mainstream legacy sort of Democrat who would “heal the wounds caused by Donald Trump”. Again, not my words and I don’t see any bleeding wounds caused by Trump that were in need of healing.
This worked as a political strategy, barely, and required a hefty dose of election fraud to pull off. Even then the number of votes from the number of people who could fill a good sized stadium was the slim margin of victory. Election fraud and policies favoring the Democrat candidate were the only reason Joe won. It was a very close thing and still would not have worked without cheating in every manner possible.
All the above is past obvious. It is so obvious that the large percentage of apolitical Americans who don’t care or pay much attention to politics are starting to see it. It takes a lot for those people to see something political and the Biden Administration is doing a lot that makes all that obvious.
What has become clear in the last year is that the deal was more than just to get Joe into office. As time goes on we see Bernie Sander’s and policies of the Left becoming more and more obvious. I could list them but in the interest of brevity I’m sure that anyone on this website can see what I’m talking about without me having to spell out every single iota of the obvious.
The deal therefor must have been …
“Hey, Joe, we’ll make you President and pull out all the stops to do it, but once you’re in office you have to implement the policies of Bernie Sanders as promoted by the Left that would have made him our candidate had we not struck this deal with you. This will be easy for you, we’ll tell you who to appoint to what office and you just let them do their thing. We’ll tell you who to put on your staff to help you abide by this deal. In return we’ll ramp down Bernie and ramp you up to the nomination.”
Biden had to be the nominee because Biden was the only candidate that had any chance at all of winning against Trump. Every other candidate would result in an obvious loss. Even so his chances were exceedingly slim and required chicanery to put him into office.
That a deal was made is most obvious by the fact that Joe Biden is adhering to none of his prior positions on anything. He’s not the Joe Biden the Democrats promised, he’s not the guy we know from past experience. Bad as that past experience may be. He’s a stranger doing strange things that are not in line with his previous, stated positions.
This rendered an American President a virtual puppet of the Left. A figurehead who is President in name only, who sits in the Oval Office and rubber stamps any policy put in front of him. It thwarted the usual selection process on many levels. This is to my knowledge a first in American History.
The Democrat Party in its own hubris, believed that their Leftist policies are so popular that once they got someone into office they would accomplish two things. They would ride a huge wave of popularity through a series of successes that they “just knew” their policies would accomplish. They also knew that they would have a very narrow window to achieve a political lock on power (through legislation and outright cheating) so that no matter what they would remain in power to continue their stampede towards the Hard Left.
Neither of those things is materializing for the Democrats. They have one more year to the next mid-term election cycle and this coming year, if I’m right, will be the most dangerous year for Americanism in the history of the United States.
A cornered rat will bite.
The silver lining here is that this is an act or more properly a bunch of acts of desperation. The Democrats foolishly believed their own press. This was foolish because they control the legacy press and it does not, however much they might want it to, control The People.
In doing all this, the Democrat Party, now hijacked by the far Left, has tipped it’s hand. Their policies do not work, their promises mean nothing, and the country continues to plummet in decline on all metrics.
That plummet is so obvious it’s being felt at every gas pump and grocery store checkout counter in the Nation. Not only is it being felt, it’s profound enough to be undeniable. The very people the Democrats claim to care about the most, the poor, are being damaged in obvious ways. The less money you have, the more Democrat policies hurt.
Whether you’re buying groceries from a minimum wage paycheck or an EBT card, inflation is forcing you to buy less food of a lower quality. This is not a fact lost on the people that the Democrat Party most claims to represent.
This effect of negative prosperity affects everyone from the upper-middle class to the poorest of the poor. A demographic that represents the vast majority of voters in America.
The demographic not adversely affected is the wealthy. If you’re wealthy enough you don’t care how much a gallon of gas or a gallon of milk costs. This is a tiny minority of American voters.
The “Tax the Rich and make them pay their fair share” mantra is a smokescreen. It accomplishes nothing but provide a scapegoat. The pain of inflation can be blamed on them because it’s “their fault they’re not paying enough to help”. The Rich make a good scapegoat because they can afford whatever costs rise to and will still virtue signal how wonderful they are while paying prices none of us can afford.
If you print money in order to spend it you generate inflation. Inflation is a tax that doesn’t get voted on by the public. You still end up with less usable money, it’s just that instead of paying it in you never get it in the first place. Numeric quantity of income remains the same while purchasing power steeply declines. This is an insidious true danger of Leftism. The end result is always economic collapse which strengthens the power of the government and weakens the power of The People to resist.
Clearly the Fourth Estate of the legacy press and what social media the Democrats have been able to co-opt have not carried the power to influence Americans to the degree they assumed it would. The lies told by the Fourth Estate are becoming painfully obvious and more so as time goes on.
The one-two punch of inflationary fiat currency creation and a willing press is only landing the former blow and failing in the latter. Both those blows need to land solidly to coerce a free nation into Leftism.
The results are increasing desperation on the part of the Democrats.
I have been wondering why the Democrats in power do not seem to mind committing this sort of political suicide. They do not seem to be concerned that every metric which is normally used to gauge political advantage is against them.
There can only be two logical answers to that conundrum.
Either they are completely divorced from reality due to believing their own press, and the “correctness” of their Leftist doctrines or … They know something that the rest of us don’t know, Something that causes them not to be concerned over things like the lowest polls of an administration in modern memory and losing a solid Blue State like Virginia to Republicans. I sincerely hope it’s the former and not the latter because …
One big advantage in controlling the legacy media is not only the ability to lie to everyone in the nation, it’s to conceal anything they don’t want the rest of us to know too.
The year 2022 is their last chance at a last gasp effort. If things continue as they are now the Republicans will solidly defeat them in Congress and take all significant control of the House and the Senate. State elections will also nibble away at their power base.
That will destroy Leftist short term plans and set them back tremendously. If the Republicans can manage to get their act together and not blow the opportunity out the window as has been their historic performance.
The Democrats have to do everything they can, legal, illegal or outright dastardly, to prevent that. They’ve proven that there is nothing which is beneath them. It’s time to stop them and if we don’t do it now we may never be able to do it in the future.
2022 is going to be a very crucial year. Be sure you research your candidates and vote at every possible opportunity; local, state and federal. Be sure to let everyone you know how very, very critical this coming year will be to our future.
