Nixon-Agnew-Ford Tactics for Democrats to Retain the White House in ‘24
The only chance for the “Old School American Democrats”, as opposed to the “AOC Democrats”, to retain the White House after the ass-whipping they will receive in 2022 is to at least appear to return to the political middle.
The scenario they might use follows much the same path as the Nixon-Agnew-Ford Shuffle of the ‘70s:
- Democrats remove the very unpopular Kamala. Surely, there are more than adequate skeletons in that closet to facilitate her removal/resignation a la Agnew.
- Appoint a Ford-like Democrat, that is to say a Democrat that, like Ford, is perceived by the public to be a ‘Moderate’, well liked politician preferably with a military background. Hmmm, been seeing a lot of Tulsi Gabbard on center right news sources lately. Should be a relatively easy Confirmation process that takes place before the 2022 Midterms.
- While the Democrats lick their wounds from ’22, their “center” will have even more leverage to remove the present MPOTUS (Meat Puppet of the United States) either thru his resignation for health reasons or, barring that, the 25th. The Biden removal will give Tulsi (or player to be named later) a period of incumbency prior to 2024 (again, see the Ford example). Fun to watch as the AOC/Bernie faction will not go quietly but will be media-gagged as the few plausible Centrist Democrats are pushed forward to sell the process. Perhaps the AOC types will temporarily be sated with their version of a ‘Rockefeller appointment’ to VP by the newly installed Tulsi.
That’s how I see the play. Will it work? …. didn’t for Ford, won’t for Democrats in ’24. But, it will be fun to watch.
Couple of factors, the MSM is no longer strong or credible enough to pull it off and the new kids on the block, Social Media Companies, have displayed their prejudices indelibly as well. None of these factors will stop them from trying.

The corporate media has been pre-selling Mayor Pete for that scenario, they would never throw a moderate bone to the public, they are all detached elites that cant understand and dont want to, to them the ratchet only goes one way.
Point taken on the ratchet, Mayor Pothole might be the “player named later” but I wonder if a severe enough beating in ’22 might break a few teeth on that ratchet.
