Predictions for the final episode 7 of the book of Boba Fett. Giant spoiler warning. Watch book of Boba Fett chapters 1 to 6 now. That’s an order! I recommend a watch party.
They told us it would be bigger than just Boba Fett. For the wider story Boba’s actions matter massively. Temuera Morrison said 7 is Wow Wow. That’s code. Which languages in Star Wars have catch phrases that translate wow? (Yes I just gave you home work.)
People complained that Boba Fett said to much in chapter 1 -4. He is not the silent killer some want. Even Temuera Morrison has said he has too many lines so they fixed it. Boba Fett does not have any lines in chapters 5 and 6 of his own show. He does not even appear at all in 5. People, sometimes the same people, are complaining about that too. There are some Hollywood a list actors that would sue if they are not in every second scene. Yet Morrison trusts Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni so well he can handle being excluded completely from episodes of the show named for his character. Now that’s journeyman acting.
If you think strategically Boba Fett can’t really do anything in episode 5 & 6. He can’t leave the planet. The Pykes win by default if he does that. He may still be able to send Fennec Shand out but that’s a bit iffy. 5 and 6 are the ‘get help’ episodes. It needs to be Mando getting the help and we only need to see that once with Cob Vanth. The Nite Owls and Bad Batch can be contacted by com link. The only question there is does Boba, Mando, Ashoka or Fennec Shand have their ‘phone number’?
Another allied force is already on the planet hidden in plain sight. I’ve alluded to that above and that is a master piece of movie making. We see them but unless you are very deep into Star Wars lore, and Disney merchandising, you can’t see it even when you see it.
I expected Mando to call in Luke not knowing he is one of Boba’s foes but Mando never meets Luke he only sees him. Another pair of hero’s heads him off in episode 6. I predict that Luke will call in Han for transport. He can’t carry Grogu in the X wing. Leia and Chewie may show up on the Falcon.
There’s a moment of confusion. I’m predicting some lines.
Han “I thought you said we’d be fighting with Boba Fett not fighting WITH Boba Fett!”
Boba “Din, Did you know I’ve fought these guys before?”
Din. “Lol, Sorry, they must be good fighters then.”
and they all get on with fighting the Pykes, etc.
I’m betting the Pykes have a mix of mercenaries, the Trandoshans of Mos Espa, re-activated battle droids as well as Pyke troops. It will raise the threat level with a few tanks and ships.
Boba will have his Gamorreans, his mercenaries, the mods, the free town militia and their Tusken allies. Pyke terrorist actions in Mos Espa may dive a lot of people to submit but some will grab there gun and back Boba Fett. It will be a major battle around Mos Espa and Jabba the hut’s old palace that Boba Fett now controls.
I think there will be a whole lot of last minute arrivals; Han and Luke; the Nite Owls; The Bad Batch; perhaps the New Republic. They will save the day or show up to mop up.
If you have seen anything of the game Star Wars; Empire at War, Forces of Corruption you have a three way fight between the Empire, the Republic, and the crime lord Tyber Zann with a whole lot of mercenaries and re-activated prequel units available including battle droids of many types.
Stage 1 is Zann Conquering his home planets and the other crime lords. This is what Boba Fett is doing now on Tatooine.
It looks to me like Jon and Dave are taking that idea and building up a new force to counter the bad guys in the Sequels. In effect making the rise of the 1st Order impossible or harder. While also giving the New Republic some backbone via the Rangers of the New Republic and Cara Dune. [So Kennedy really had to kill that.]
Starting with Boba Fett the third faction wont be much at first but in the end of the book of Boba Fett with him beating the Pykes it puts his third faction on the RTS map.
Jon and Dave are building a force we don’t see in the Sequels. One with more guile than the New Republic or Leia’s new rebels. They have created a new character, Grogu, full mystery and possibility with a past that may not be what we are told it is. I don’t think Grogu is a baby or child. Luke does not know it yet but he is a therapist not a teacher. When the big reveal comes then a whole bunch of new possibilities opens up.
The book of Boba Fett will be used to teach TV/ movie making for decades to come.
Star Wars is back. The woke leftists on the board of Disney will see the plans smashed but will be wiping their crying eyes with thousand dollar notes.
