It is simple WHY? the flip-flop of MASKS. FIRST, they have no CORE Principles than THE myopic, delusional, corrupt, fraud, very destructive and tyrannical IDEOLOGY and ITS chief weapon of MASS DESTRUCTION. These are IMMORAL and EVIL, yes EVIL “Fascistic Socialists. There is no THE BIG Lies they will not say and put into action.
We have to be very careful, watchful and judicious with this seeming pivot by the Progressives. Remember that they NEVER give up. They may relent for a brief time when they see us getting our hackles up and actually having some gumption to stand up and remonstrate against their edicts. But mainly they are just waiting for us all to calm down and will do much to misdirect our attention and distract us. They will continue to monitor our websites, phone calls, discussions, postings, etc. and see when it will be possible for them to continue their march to our eventual submission.
For me to “forgive and forget”, the offender has to admit they were wrong all along. I don’t see any of that, so I’m not forgetting, I’m not forgiving.
Also, I was raised by a psycopath/sociopath (psychologists seem to change the definition so often, I don’t know which is current). While Scott may be right for “normal” people, he is absolutely wrong when it comes to psychopaths. They look for weakness, and then exploit it. They believe You are a sucker to be exploited no matter what you do. So, they will tell whatever lies they need to get you in the frame of mind to “forgive” their previous exploitation.
The Democrats and Rinos took away our freedoms. Now they are “giving back” some of the things that were always ours in the first place. If we forgive them now, they will just do it again, knowing we are still suckers.
I’m a real scientist, retired. Nothing they pushed was “following the science”. It was, and remains, All False.

Scott’s approach I think is like dog training… you cannot punish the dog for the last mistake, you need to reward the dog for the thing just correctly done.
While the Democrats are doing something good we need to reward them. Not with anything serious like power or credibility of course, but at least an attaboy or Good Job kind of pat on the back.
Doing so could serve two benefits: they might learn (now stop laughing) and we can point at these events as “see we can get along with the other side, at least when they are not selling out the country”.

So…..the US is under authoritarian rule for the last two years, and the foreseeable future, maybe until collapse – we do not have a constitutional republic since forever. Scott, you are way too forgiving – the two-faced Facists ruining this country under the guise of science, scarcely hiding their ruthless power grabs, has been a deadly farce/force from the beginning, and many Americans have readily given up their bodily autonomy to go along with it…for the pussy assed (ha ha kind of a contradiction in terms, but anyway) reason of safety. The progressive traitors in government are not doing anything except whatever it takes to keep their power. They have allowed egregious hubris and evil greed to lead them to utter failure to retain that power, unless panty-waisted, nanny-needing Americans can’t stand the thought of individual autonomy and responsibility. I’m not even confident that Republican politicians, handed the government on a platter in 2022 and 2024, assuming the cheating lying democrats don’t steal the elections, will do one damned thing to get this country back on its feet. 95% of politicians currently in office should be given their pink slips, stripped of their retirement benefits, and just for good measure thrown in jail for failure to do their fiduciary duty. And, furthermore, every American that still has a brain in their head should STOP paying their taxes until this SHIT comes to an end.
Great rant, I agree quite a lot. Before any individual stops paying taxes there would need to be some coordination to build up a large mass of people for this to have an impact. There is a new political strategy that I have been pushing in recent months regarding this regime (especially those like Fauci) Make Tar and Feathers Great Again!
Forgiveness is partially a declaration of trust, on both sides. It’s a declaration by the one who did wrong that the other side will forgive him (which, tangentially, is why no one should ever ask for forgiveness from SJWs. They aren’t here to forgive you, they’re here to destroy you. And it’s so much easier to kick someone and spit in their face when they’re groveling on the ground before you.), and it’s likewise a declaration of trust on the part of the wronged that the other side will change their behavior and do better. What exactly is the behavior we want them to change? Is it the mask and vaccine mandates? If that’s it, then obviously, they should be forgiven. They are, after all, changing their stance on those ideas. Or could it be the libel and slander leveled at anyone who disagreed with them? Could it be the destruction of people’s lives and livelihoods? Or how about the speeches where they unpersoned anyone who did not have a vaccine and wear a mask? How about their efforts to get the megacorporations to shut down anyone who spoke against them? How about the physical attacks made by the local Mask Nazis who assaulted people for not complying? What about the double standards they held themselves to, where people like Newsom and Ocasio-Cortez violate their own draconian decrees brazenly? Since the beginning, these people have acted like barons and lords, living it up while we the degenerate, filthy peasants are required to do nothing but submit to our masters. Every action on their part has been one to force us into submission, to beat us into the ground and make us into serfs groveling before the Lords of America.
THAT is the crime that was committed. It wasn’t the mask or vaccine mandates. Heck, while I hate the idea of wearing masks, I’m also willing, as a free man, to do what I must to protect my nation. If that meant spending two weeks wearing masks and avoiding concentrated civilization, then ok, let’s do it. But it went far beyond that and spiraled into such a brazen, overt, obvious effort to decree themselves into limitless power that I cannot trust them. If they had done this at virtually any other time, then I would have been more inclined to give them leniency. But the fact that they’re doing it right when a national election is coming up tells me they still want their power, they still see us as serfs, and they’re just hoping we’re too stupid and brainless to hold them accountable for their actions.
I don’t trust them. And I don’t think very many other people trust “the science” anymore. “Experts” might as well be called High Priests of the Order of Scientism, chosen by the Lords of the Divine City of Scientasia to bequeath the heavenly wisdom to the masses, because frankly, that’s how they’re acting.
I heard a discussion on another website that said the date set for the official removal of mask mandates is set to coincide with the State of the Union. Presumably Joe Biden will announce victory over the pandemic, courtesy of his administration. That sounds very much like something that would appeal to them. The question is who will fall into line and make the correlation that it’s finally okay to take off the masks because Biden made it possible. I still believe the seeds of early resistance to COVID vaccines were first sown by these same people who said they’d never trust anything Trump was involved with. The media put that story out first, and it has had a lasting effect. Of course, they quickly buried that when Biden came in as President, and have attributed resistance to the rubes who voted for Trump. It would all make for a great political satire miniseries if it wasn’t for the fact that it has ruined lives and livelihoods.
Its all a shame and was from the beginning. The sooner all of us accept that the sooner we can take our country back without this specific issue weighing anyone down.

I suspect more likely wants to get out of their way when they are going the right way; that way when they try to double back he is still in their way. Or don’t fight against the tide when it is pushing the way you want to go. Conserve strength for when it is needed.
I think the same. They are doing something he wants done so he won’t stop them from doing that. He is willing to fight them on the things they should not be doing, but I think this is one of those cases where “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” does work, as long as you recognize that it is only for now and here, and when this is done we’re all enemies again.
The problem is that they will never admit to having been wrong, they will still insist they were right all along.

Simple. The science changes when the Dems see where the political winds are blowing. The timing of the Canadian truckers combined with the high profile mask mandate violators, (Newsom, Abrams, among others) The Radical Left sees that their ideas are sending them toward electoral bloodbaths. Or worse – some have probably figured out that if they push the truckers too far and the truckers go “Master Blaster” on them, they angry mobs with torches and pitchforks won’t be coming for the truckers…
Perhaps when she is able to blind you with it?

Dear Scott, you were so very helpful when I was having “computer” problems as a new member, but when you were making your remarks I was very disappointed and shocked! Thousands of people were losing their lives because of these power grabs by Democrats. I do not view this as they have suddenly “seen the light.” I consider what they did as evil! I do not consider this an issue that warrants “turning the other cheek.” I believe courage calls out evil and fights against it. Thanks to Bill and especially to Steve. p.s. I still sense you are a kind and helpful person, but I think that kind of response “shallow”, and I do not think of you in that way, p,s, I had just watched a segment of the Canadian truckers on TV, and I was blown away by their awesome courage and came close to tears.
