As a follow-on for The Trio‘s recent discussion of attributing human rights to the Moon and other sterile space rocks, we must consider how far the Oxford average IQ has fallen with the admission of this one woman to the debate floor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiRx62VGl8Q (WARNING! You will never get this 12.67 minutes returned to you; viewer beware).
Some highlights:
- “The assumption that the best protein comes from corpses is a racist belief.”
- “Twenty-first century animal eating requires our complicity in a new colonialism.”
- “These events especially affect girls and young women. Your hamburger comes with a dose of misogyny.”
- “Popular culture is flooded with references to sexy cows, sexy pigs, sexy chickens, sexy fishes, who all just want to have fun.”
- “Meat eating is also one of the ways gender-based structures of oppression are perpetuated.”
- “White supremacists [weaponizing] eating meat, eggs, and dairy, and the baiting of liberal men as so called ‘soy boys’ are all part of the neo-Nazi messaging.”
- “Our whiteness is part of the problem of meat eating.”
- “Your vote tonight expresses your allegiance to, or rejection of, a white supremacist patriarchal worldview.”
If we continue to entertain such idiocy, humanity is lost.

We should all keep such insanity in mind. When the Cathedral (slightly older name for the concept Bill calls Cerberus) tells you to do one thing it is probably time to seriously consider doing the exact opposite. When they say don’t eat meat I would recommend adding lots of healthy meat to your diet – assuming you are able. If they say to not have kids, at least consider the idea of having as many as possible. Stuff like that.
Well, we had four kids (all grown to adulthood), and I’m going to a friend’s house this evening to process a couple of elk for our freezers. I’ve been disregarding the “Cathedral” for my entire life, because I’ve always considered it to be populated by fools.
That woman is a spiteful mutant, and likely a witch. Bring back the stake!
“Just as people once competed for status by signaling their binding moral foundations, people will now do so by signaling their commitment to “equality” and “harm avoidance.” Doing so is not inherently fitness-damaging, as we will see below. But two processes ensure that it is maladaptive: first, the presence of spiteful mutants, who conceive of toxic ideas and promote them; second, the arms-race of outdoing the neighbors in signaling your individualism. We have an evolved desire for status, and an evolved ability to be inculcated by the group. Such instincts find themselves in an evolutionary mismatch when no longer under harsh Darwinian conditions, in which it is necessary to clamp down on individualism to ensure group cohesion against the enemy at the gates. So, eventually, people start signaling things that are against their group’s genetic interests—and even against their individual genetic interests, such as that it is selfish and wrong to have children because doing so damages the environment, or because White people are inherently evil, or whatever it may be.”

Exactly so. I should read that book, too.
That doddering old spinster either didn’t know or didn’t care that she was a laughingstock. Look at the faces of the younger students behind her in the camera’s view.
She “stood up to say her piece” but she’s like every other nut and weirdo in the world that thinks they alone have a lock on vital information that “common people” are either not privy to or do not care if they are.
This is the same sort of phenomenon where people believe in LGM and BEMS (Little Green Men and Bug Eyed Monsters) from other planets and it is equally outlandish. This nonsense spouted by that frail harpy is the same thing as flat-earthers espouse, in a different suit of clothes.
You can be certain that if she stood up at Oxford to advocate for Alien Lizard People living among us masquerading as humans, or secret NAZI bases in the Antarctic plotting to take over the world, or the flat Earth myths she would have gotten laughed out of the room. So she chose the one thing she thought she could get away with and even that one thing was ludicrous.
She’s a lonely old bitty in a solitary world of her own construction.
I would feel sorry for that meatless old witch if her situation were not wholly self inflicted.
I read somewhere once that this sort of mentality precipitates in individuals who are unable to deal with the complexities of life and are trying to achieve some measure of control over the uncontrollable. This is a symptom of a weak personality unable to deal with the depth of reality and must construct a separate reality that they feel comfortable with. It is a form of crying wolf to gain the attention of others but the wolf exists only in their minds.
