Amen and it is those very people who are themselves the real racists in the mix. Because race is their profession and avocation they are the worst possible sort of racists. Until this becomes clear to the general public of all races that problem isn’t going to go away.
This is sad too because a recent survey querying people about the degree that their racial identity is of any importance to them … White people came out on the bottom with the least concern over their own racial composition. This means that white people are the least racist people in America and any demonstrable racism on the part of white people is an anomaly not a normality.
On the left intersectional identity is a main measure of validity. IE if you’re black, that’s a point. If you’re a black female, that’s two points. If you’re a black gay female that’s three points. If you’re a black gay transvestite female that’s four points. Etc. Thus the further from the norm and the greater your antisocial proclivities the higher your validity score.
On the right, it’s just the opposite. Speaking for myself but believing most other Conservatives share this view — I couldn’t care less what your peccadillos or racial component is as long as you vote Conservative. If a black gay female transvestite wants to vote to support the Republic that gives her free reign to practice her deviations privately then I couldn’t care less.
I do not have to answer to The Almighty for her, I won’t agree with her, I won’t support her legitimacy in her deviations, but I won’t kick her out of the voting booth either. Her personal issues whatever they may be are not paramount to my opinion of her politics. The Republic is more important to me than whether she dresses up as a guy or not. I don’t think she should do that but I won’t tell her she’s not welcome on my side of the political divide because she does.
If that same person were speaking to a Leftist and declared a Conservative viewpoint then the Leftist would disown her outright. Being a Conservative, even a little bit Conservative, cancels out her validity points entirely.
That is real discrimination because her views are not a consideration. She’s not a person, only a list of boxes to check. Only the validity to the Leftist agenda counts and if she abandons that or refuses to be a tool for the Left she’s not welcome at all.
I consider this a fair and just view allowing for personal liberty without endorsing or legitimizing deviance. The Left takes the opposite stance in encouraging and legitimizing any opinion that supports their agenda. No matter how foul nor how demographically inconsequential it is the support for the Leftist narrative that is truly the driving factor.
This goes for grievance ideologies of any sort and is the motivator for people addressed in your Booker T. Washington quote. The mere idea of actual lack of racial distinction by way of color blind application of the law and social norms is destruction to their way of life. They must perpetuate racism to survive and being as they cannot compel racism in others the only racism to be found and nurtured is their own.
