You say works have nothing to do with Christianity, but the scriptures say otherwise. Look at Acts 26:20. Look at the blessing of the descendants of Jobadab, who in Jeremiah 35 were blessed by following their fore father’s command.
Demonstrate your repentance by your DEEDS. Hmm. What about being judged by your words and your actions? What are you on about?
As for steps up to the altar and cut stones, I would agree that needs to be looked at, but that is less important than the huge protestant error of sola fidei, or faith alone.
Alfonzo, I am not always fond of you “theologizing” too much in these programs. I have an awful lot of respect of you, and you are a good Christian (at least you argue very well and get most points right) However, many times you get your particular point of view and interpretation of the Bible through that is not always in accord with other people’s interpretation of the same Book. I am not a theologian either, but I can tell you that I do not always agree with your Bible argumentation. The fact that you loath any organized Church make you biased. The Lord clearly intended an organized Church. Just because the human elements of the Church are often sinful and can do a lot o damage, does not invalidate this. I understand why you reject any organized Church; but that does not change the fact of what the Lord intended. In any case, this theologizing of yours sometimes distracts a bit from the topic being discussed. Some of your allegories are indeed beautiful and have given me some thoughts, but others have distracted me from the topic because I do no agree with them. The Bible is too complex to be interpreted by any one faulty human being, specially if one gets it across as Gospel truth (pun intended). I would rather have you stay on the natural law (we know where it comes from) and on the general beliefs of most Christians.
In this episode, it is not the case that in the Middle Ages people acted mainly out of fear (although it was often the case). [Edit: I think Bill initially made this argument]. There was also a holy reverence for and genuine worship of God. Being the human way of doing things, it was expressed physically as beauty in art and building. Lex orandi, lex credendi. By the way, Christians have lost this almost completely in our time. Just look at a modern Church building. The left does not revere beauty, they indeed love ugliness (in every aspect), and we have let them do so. But to come back, finally, also the Rock and cornerstone argument for me was missing the point as it was not correct. You may disagree with me, but the point is that we disagree.
In any event, Zo, I am happy that in this team there is a committed Christian and it is always good that the Christian viewpoint is being part of the discussions. Keep up the good work.
Regarding the topic at hand, yes, nothing except power is sacrosanct for the left.
This Supreme Court leak s just another example in a very long list of how we are losing the rule of law in this nation. Sanctuary Cities and an open border are the primary examples of how the left chooses which laws to follow. I guess the left feels it is above the laws of our country.

NPR interviewed a guy today that wrote a book about the Supreme Court in the Time of Trump being dangerous and radical. He actually said, with a straight face, that the conservatives had been plotting to legislate through the courts for a long time and “educated” us about how wrong that was. So I guess the answer to your question is that hypocrisy must be sacred.
To them it’s only legislating from the bench if you use it to undo a leftist power grab.

“Human rights”… that come from government, and therefore can be taken away by government when they find them inconvenient. They never spot the irony that if rights come from government, and have no basis being inherent in humans merely because they’re humans, then slavery was perfectly okay, because the government approved it. I would say it’s amazing that they don’t spot the flaw in that line of thinking, but honestly I’m not surprised at all; There are a whole lot of things you’ll fail to spot if you keep your eyes tightly shut enough.
“Freedom of speech”… for themselves, but not for you. “Dissent is patriotic”… for themselves, but not for you. The list goes on and on and on.

The globalist, fascist, America-hating Democrats have no standards and know it. They don’t hesitate to trash tradition when convenient. If it comes back to bite them, they know they’ll escape the bind by trashing it again. For example, they didn’t hesitate to have Democrat Sen. “Dirty Harry” Reid (NV) exercise the nuclear option in the Senate either to break the filibuster and ram through Ovomit’s appointments to the federal bench. Why? They knew that if that decision came back to bite them by another administration using it to nominate and confirm SCOTUS justices they didn’t like, then they would simply break another tradition to devalue the court, which is their objective whether they politicize it by leaking decisions ahead of time to politicize it or packing it with their activist, radical, political appointees.
Of course, we don’t think like they do, so we’ve been giving them the benefit of the doubt all this time that they’ve been acting in good faith. They haven’t.
My first stop as an investigator would be the office of Judge Tokenji Jackson Brown.

Regardless, both are true. In fact, regarding the latter, we haven’t felt safe in a while. We knew something was wrong even though we didn’t know exactly what. Now we are starting to find out.
When you understand that world power is the only goal of the fascists through the Great Reset and one world government, every single thing that they are doing makes sense.
Total equity, zero carbon emissions to combat the climate “crisis,” zero pandemic/traffic deaths…all phony emergencies that they are using to grab power and distract us while they build administrative states around the world (like Obama exploding the size of our governemnt; doubled his number of national security advisors). They then imbue these administrative agencies with power, giving them with the ability to issue mandates and regulations based on the “emergencies” of systemic racism, gun violence, health equity, climate change, pandemic, racist roads or whatever so they can ignore our legislatures while putting themselves in total control. In the U.S., the Public Health Service Act of 1944 (Section 319) allows them to declare ANYTHING an emergency and extend it every 90 days on their own.
Biden’s partially successful OSHA vaccine mandate through the EPA is a perfect example of their strategy to control using the administrative agencies while ignoring our legislatures. So is ignoring us while opening the border and daring the public to do something about it. Directing your federal agencies not to do their jobs is another form of power they use. So is contracting with NGO’s to do the things that sovereign governments won’t allow them to do. NGO’s are running the show at our southern border as evidenced by a border agent who appeared on Tucker Carlson and reported that he was ordered to release a certain prisoner by an NGO representative. They also organize these caravans and tell the people exactly what to say when interviewed at the border as an “asylum seeker.”
