Similar story about creating intelligent life.
In the late 80s I worked in the CS/AI mobile robot lab of a technical school you’ve probably heard of. We knew how insanely hard it was to get a robot to “see” and comprehend its surroundings. Our robots mostly pathetically bumped into walls and had bad sonar.
In the hallway in this lab, rich with the history of early computing, there were pictures from the 60s of a robot arm. It was a Lost In Space looking thing. In one picture they had attached 2 cameras to a frame above it like eyes. There was a chess board in the picture.
I could guess the rest- “Let’s put cameras on this thing so it can see. We’ll hook it all up to this PDP-1 over here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programmed_Data_Processor) and write a program so it can see the chess board and play. We’ll create a chess playing robot”
They had no idea how hard a task they had undertaken but I reckon they found out. It would be 30 or 40 more years before that was possible and that’s just machine vision and chess, 2 of the easiest things for “AI” to do.
So I’m with Bill on this one. I have no idea how the lump of grey stuff between my ears can see and understand this well. Who even knows the data rate? The “resolution”? On top of that, I can remember things vividly from my childhood onward and tell dad jokes. How does my brain do this? I have no idea.

Bill’s on a wonderful journey. Eventually he will have to question the timelines and actually look at young earth creationism and find out what it’s really about. To explore the evidence we see, that people refused to teach Bill and his teachers.

Psalm 22:6. And we share the same amount of chromosomes, I heard once somewhere.

lol no we don’t. Who taught you that. There are huge differences in both the number and size of the chromosomes in animals and it even varies drastically in the worm created kind. if you count chromosomes and proteins your counting the book shelves and the the pictures in the books but ignoring where the books are, what the text says and how the text guides you to turn the one string of DNA into different proteins and messenger RNA depending on which way the Gene reading system goes and where it starts and stops and which bits it skips part way. there are lots of creationist geneticists now and in some places they are now the majority. Its to complex to have evolved.

No one is saying that we evolved from anything. God can add or remove, in whatever fashion he wishes to, whenever he wishes to. Now, whether he takes man from the dust that came from nothing or the dust that came from something other, what, really, is the difference? The way you are breaking it down, we have more in common with a banana than any ape. Trust me, I know the creationist studies are gaining ground fast, but neither does that disqualify the possibility that both the psalmist, and Job’s friend, just might be speaking truth.

I would pitch in a few bucks for good science fiction. Places like Angel Studios have a similar model but for Christian entertainment (they make the show The Chosen). I just want good stories that are not woke garbage which is the main reason I mostly read Japanese books these days instead of American.
Edit: I wasn’t far enough along in the episode yet, he mentioned The Chosen. My bad!
