As usual, the bad faith tyrants twist tradition and common courtesy to their own ends.
Funny how the left thinks a dog shelter has the right to say gun owners can’t adopt a dog but Catholic Charities can’t deny a child to a gay couple in line with their thinking that a child needs a mother and a father. In one case, the free speech of the owner infringes on gun rights. In the other, the customer with other options claiming oppression infringes on freedom of religion.
Nuance is important.
Free speech does not trump another person’s rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I don’t care what these people think or believe, and I’ve had my fill of their entitled “world revolves around me” attitude. Your opinions and/or fake oppression do not give you the right to harass other people.
Forcing your will onto others in violation of the Constitution is tyranny. Masterpiece Cake Shop in Colorado refused service citing freedom of religion. This woman is refusing adoptions to gun owners due to her politics and opinions, very much like the Jim Crow laws refused service to blacks in violation of their civil rights based upon the supporters’ free speech opinions .
This woman and her fellow tyrants who harassed Trump supporters in restaurants and everywhere else at the direction of Mad Maxine Waters cite free speech in complete violation of the spirit of the ideal. Free speech was not intended to be used to bully other people.
P.S. A man was just arrested in the UK for making fun of George Floyd on social media, but other countries are the best. OK sure.
