NO. If you think the Democrats would have won in 2016 had they run anyone else against Donald Trump, you are missing something REALLY big.

Trump tapped into something even bigger than what Reagan tapped into. His economic nationalism and anti-globalist, anti-swamp, pro-working-class agenda destroyed the traditional Democrat base that realized that the ONLY person who could take these things head-on and win (not just incremental feel-good moments, but actually turn things around) was an outsider who knew who he was, what he believed, and had NO interest in politics as usual, and didn’t care what the media or the cocktail-uniparty said or thought about him.

I say this as someone who supported Ted Cruz right up until the end of the primaries. There is no way Cruz could have accomplished in eight years even half of what Trump accomplished in one term.

The general electorate understood this at a gut level. All the analysis in the world won’t help if you can’t understand that Trump was and is all about pushing back against the political elite that has sold us down the river.

And for anyone who thinks that Trump should not be the nominee in 2024, you’re still missing it. His moment is not past. His momentum is accelerating.

DANCING!? I’m shocked Scott, shocked I say. ;-). It reminds me of an old joke.
Q: Why don’t the Free Presbyterians approve of homosexuality?
A: Because it frequently leads to dancing…

What’s Scott was talking about with Bill Marr. I kind of think Bill was right. I don’t think it used to be that way it always seemed the left or the communist headed an elaborate long term game plan. But over the past few years it seems the leftist zombies that have been cranked out of universities completely lack the patience and the understanding to play the long game. I think they have shown their hand and crank the stove up so much that now the frog has jumped out of the boiling pot.
Now we just have to see if the frog will survive it’s third-degree burns or if some other tadpole will rise to take its place.

Clarence Thomas is indeed the lightning rod because he was in with Stokely Carmichael and all of the 1960s Black Power movements and chose to walk in a different direction based on his own thinking, learning, and experience. Choosing the conservative side knowing both sides as well as Judge Thomas does is the ultimate sin to the Left.

To answer Scott’s topic, I think some conservatives did realize they would need to play the long game, and thus the push for appointing judges and some people excusing so many of Trump’s foibles because he got good judges appointed and McConnell got them confirmed.
The other objective proof is that when conservatives say something was cut, they mean that this year’s spending or taxes are less than last years. When the left complains that things were cut, they mean it didn’t go up as much as they wanted.

As far as skateboarding, you guys should watch Tim Pool talk about this specific story, he explains why men have a significant advantage, and speaks with the female skater you mentioned.
Also Bill Maher is a disingenuous uninformed smarmy arrogant ass.

Jen here…

I agree, Zo’s voice acting was phenomenal. Bill’s definitely left much to be desired, unfortunately. Just gonna go ahead and toot my husband’s horn and offer up his talents. Beau has a phenomenal voice and the skills/equipment for both recording and audio engineering.

Bill doesn’t know how to “ham it up” a bit to get the drama into his dialog. That can be learned but it’s hard because for a normal person who doesn’t do any acting it seems insincere. Until you hear it.

IRL people don’t actually talk like what you hear said in the movies. If you listen to conversational tone it really doesn’t (often) sound like the speaking parts of a movie or TV show. Bill is speaking in more of a conversational tone, fine for real life, seems flat in an entertainment piece.

I think they went over top a bit with the “Shakespearian” writing too. Especially Bill’s part. Those words do not roll slickly off the modern tongue and should be toned down a little. Not a lot, I still like the style but it’s a bit much.

Thank you, Scott! I do not want prayer back in school because exactly who will the prayer be to?
But I also say there will always be prayer in school as long as there are tests.

By putting it in the #1 spot?..lol. It works for me anywhere you put it. Best place for visitors anyway. I usually go directly to the “Shows by Date” page myself.

I feel ya Scott. I was never interested in seeing people bash the heck out of each other. With or without padded gloves.
And Zo, if you want to stay ahead of the news, you sometimes have to suck it up and watch the View. lol

It’s not just Thomas – if you’re black, female, gay, etc Democrats loathe anyone who commits the apostasy of leaving The Democrat Party’s Plantation

So Bill has finally had that upper lip issue resolved and I agree with Steve you have to nuke it from orbit to be sure. Zo will get used to subbing and perhaps offer vacation options for all of you not that Bill can say anything now. You will note paid is no where in that option.
