Regarding Ron DeSantis as a presidential candidate … DeSantis has figured out something that many other Republicans have not yet discovered. That being simply to run, act and advance political ideals like a Republican Conservative not a RINO. He won by a slim margin in Florida and his popularity and polling have skyrocketed as he promotes a Conservative Agenda. Which tells you that the nation is hungry for a real Conservative movement in politics.
I see the ideal Republican ticket in 2024 as a Trump/DeSantis bid. With Trump as the Presidential candidate we get all the people who belong to the Trump cult (which I am not one) and want to see more of the Trump policies (which I am one) plus the more stable influences of Ron DeSantis. Trump can only serve one more term so even many “never Trumpers” would vote for such a ticket because it places Ron DeSantis in a position to learn important policy lessons from Trump and be ready to ride a wave of increasing prosperity and security in the 2028 election, probably even the 2032 election too.
Democrats have such a weak field of candidates that this could easily give genuine and increasingly Conservative politics a 12 year lock on power.
While in the meanwhile Democrats continue to cater to the loud minority of Twitterites and proceed to destroy their own platform thereby. If current trends hold then the Democrats will think the solution for their side is to run ever more Leftist candidates and in doing so completely destroy their influence over all but a tiny, noisy minority of enemies of the Republic.
The only reason the DNC pulled strings to get Biden nominated was because they knew Bernie Sanders would get the nomination if they didn’t. They knew Bernie Sanders could not win. That and all the cheating is how we ended up with a senicent, decrepit, frail, useless vegetable in the Oval Office. Electing Biden has cost America a lot. It has cost America so much that everyone in the nation is feeling the impact of this mistake.
A Trump/DeSantis ticket puts us in a position to steadily improve our situation over the span of several elections with genuinely electable candidates while at the same time putting the Democrats in a position where they have to at least try to come back to something resembling the center if they do not want to become irrelevant. This is the best possible political situation we can realistically hope for.
two concerns for this:
First, and easily solvable, is that Trump has his permanent residence in FL. I am pretty sure he would have to “move” as both Pres and VP nominee can’t be from the same state.
Second, a Trump candidacy would energize a “vote against” him turnout that might not be present with DeSantis at the top. D’s certainly have no one that energizes their folks to vote for, Trump gives them something to vote against. This needs to be weighed against the typical non-voter who would vote for Trump but stay at home for DeSantis or anyone else.
This math needs to be looked at by those who follow such things at a precinct level.
Also, we need to get past this November first. Especially the races in GA and be prepared to be outside the margin of the cheat.

I just don’t understand the whole “Trump is mean” idea.
First of all, those who meet him say he’s almost too nice including Patrick Byrne who met him in December, 2020 in the Oval Office along with Powell and Flynn.
Second, hitting a bully back does not make someone mean.
Third, they will demonize DeSantis (and have already done so to an extent) just as badly. When will it sink in that they will demonize anyone who runs—even Christ Himself—and that Trump is the best fighter we’ve got?
Fourth, I’m a Catholic, but I’m not weak or a doormat. The time for nice and polite is over.
Fifth, if Trump activates their TDS, then I say good. Why? It gives us a chance to set the record straight with a whole lot of people now willing to listen. In one way or another via fake news or government threats and intimidation, they’ve discovered they’ve been used and abused as the trusting public.
Setting the record straight shouldn’t be our main focus in my opinion, but this is a golden opportunity to skewer the lying communist left (no exaggeration) and deal a death blow. They’ve been hanging around for about 100 years, and it’s time to put that evil back in the box where it belongs.
Even if it arises in some original form going forward, people will be able to binge watch a series of videos and in about a day if not less understand the threat early. Even if they don’t, it will become readily apparent soon enough.
If you think about it, this is why the communists or any tyrant seeking freedom needs control of the information flow so they can manipulate it with censorship and propaganda while lying to their con victims, claiming that they are the virtuous ones.
However, if we leave a legacy of information so vast and prevalent as to be uncontrollable, they’ll never succeed again. It would be the greatest achievement for mankind possibly ever.
With regard to the current naive and/or busy and ignorant communist con victims, it would be nice but not necessary to take the opportunity of the stolen 2020 election and other pieces of fake news and work toward that goal.
Not saying we need to address every one with each person. Will only take a handful before most reasonable people will wonder what else they’ve been told has been a lie.
The bogus J6 show trial is sure opening people’s eyes to that fact.
Lot of this might happen on its own. A lot of time and effort has already been invested, and with some states like Wisconsin looking at decertifying 2020, it might become inevitable with a little more momentum. In my opinion, we’re nearly there.
But we still need to document everything and organize it.
The other reason to pursue President Trump is that people question the hate. Why did the establishment absolutely revile him?
Put that suspicion in front of the domestic terrorist parent and the former climate con victim and the peaceful protest victim, and they’re going to start to wonder what’s the point of all this?
Why the vitriol toward Trump? Why were they themselves conned?
Then they’ll connect the dots to the globalist, communist World Economic Forum. Equity, climate change, pandemic, infrastructure…all unsolvable “emergencies’ and centralizes power grabs.
(I call them communists as they will own everything including de facto the corporations as the means of production; the term you use for their tyranny is, however, irrelevant)
Then you have an entire America realizing that it’s not 2024, but freedom vs. tyranny, good vs. evil and that this has been WWIII but fought with information.
Then you have a historic, generational shift back toward American values and Christianity, Making America Great Again with true equality and opportunity for all. Just what Trump started and desires along with the majority of Americans.
People are starting to compare notes and realize that their WEF communist globalist “conspiracy theory” nut was right all along and that Trump is the perfect guy to drain the Swamp with an axe to grind and a tailwind.
I love DeSantis too, but it’s not his time yet. Trump took all the abuse going down the field and deserves to be reinstated this term plus a shot at 2024. That would be the fair thing to do.
On top of that, I don’t know that anyone else BUT Trump could have won in 2016 and exposed the fake news and Swamp for who they are….not even DeSantis. Trump is quite possibly THE reason we’re here, which furthers his 2024 candidacy as a just result.
To be consistent, if we don’t think it’s fair for Lea Thomas to compete against women out of our sense of justice, allowing anyone else but Trump to lead in 2024 the the populist ticket he created simply wouldn’t be right.

There are some voices here in Wisconsin talking about decertifying, but they really have no pull or position of power.
I really don’t think that will, or even can, happen. There just isn’t the means to undo an election after a subsequent election has taken place. We’re far better off identifying the cheats, closing the loopholes, and making sure the voting computers haven’t been compromised. Some of that is going to be using Scott Ott’s ideas of paying attention to the cities and solid dark blue areas, both by courting potential voters (making sure the margin of vote exceeds the margin of steal) and also by getting our own people into the clerk offices to watch the process and make sure things are done right.
The Republicans in Arizona have officially decided not to recognize 2020. Can’t remember the details specifically.
Not sure exactly where Wisconsin stands, but I know Bannon is optimistic.
To me, the procedure is easy. Cheaters are always stripped of their titles and the real winners receives them. Unprecedented? Yes. Impossible? No.
We can vote and watch all we want. As long as Dominion is rigging the results, it won’t matter, and these midterm elections are key. So is getting to the bottom of 2020 even if it simply proves it was stolen.

Please point out where I said “Trump is mean”. I said that a Trump candidacy will energize those who don’t like him. Which needs to be weighed against a Dem nominee who will not be able to energize their own voters. As a NYC kid, I have been well aware of The Donald for a long time. His public persona has always been a pompous braggart; while those who know him personally genuinely like him.
The public person is what runs for office.

By contrast, I liked GW’s personality a lot but thought he was at best a very mediocre POTUS. “Religion of peace” my hairy white ass … With Trump I like his personality a lot less but think he was a great POTUS, right up until he wasn’t. He handled the COVID thing abominably when he failed to enforce the “two weeks to flatten the curve” promise. It was all downhill for America from there. The reason for that is his lack of experience in politics. He started out doing what he thought was right and then he let Fauci et. al. convince him to change his policies on COVID. That was in hindsight a clear mistake. He didn’t know he was making that mistake, he didn’t even feel the knives in his back until it was too late. A seasoned politician would have seen those knives long before the first nick.
All of that said, there are people who if you say the least off color thing about Trump’s personality immediately build that “you don’t like him ’cause he’s mean but he’s what we need” strawman and proceed to burn it down. They jump right to the stupidity of “you don’t like him because he offended you, wasn’t nice to people, blah, blah, blah, blah, blahblah.” It’s like putting a quarter in a jukebox that only plays one song.
That position has absolutely nothing to do with anything significant about Donald Trump except as it pertains to giving the opposition ammunition. Like it or not, agree with it or not, if you give them that ammo they will absolutely shoot at you with it …
This sort doesn’t seem to be able to move past that impediment and actually discuss anything factual. They are clearly Trump cultists and probably aren’t even smart enough to realize that’s what they are. Such people want what’s good for Trump and his supporters, what’s good for America is a secondary consideration.
There are a lot of those people. Heck, there are a lot of them in here on BW’s site. Trump motivated a lot of them to get out and vote. They’re going to be an issue if Trump isn’t #1on the ticket (especially if he runs again, which it looks now like he will) and it does us not a bit of good to be ideologically right if we can’t get our guy elected.
So the question I have for you is — Do you think the Trump cult will offset the anti/never Trumpers if he runs again? Just shooting from the hip I’d say a good percentage, maybe 5% or so give or take, will either neglect to vote if Trump’s not on the ticket or may even actively oppose DeSantis simply because he’s not Donald Trump.
Or … Do you think someone like Ron DeSantis can overcome the inertia that Trump already has and can get enough of the nation behind him to win the White House?
I made this comment on Christian Toto’s web site where he reviewed “What Is A Woman,” the brilliant documentary by Matt Walsh over at Daily Wire.
I believe Lia Thomas not only mocks his sport by competing against real women, he mocks it in a second and more profound way, by throwing SOME of the races he competes in. I think he let some real women win in a couple of the events that he could have easily won, and I believe he does that in order to mitigate the negative reaction to his domination over the women, to pretend that he’s just one of the girls. What a joke!
Not being a swimmer, my first thought on some of his losses was that strength counts for a lot, but some swim styles might need technique more than others, and if he’s just not that good of a swimmer, the technically more capable but physically weaker women could outswim him.
Being a swimmer that made U.S.Nationals, I can tell you that only the elite in the Women’s Swimming can come close to mediocre male swimmers. As an example, I invited a female teammate up to my family’s lake house. I was treading water, way out from the dock when she swam out to talk to me. Then she challenged me to a race back to the dock in her best stroke, the butterfly. I laughed and asked if she wanted a head start. She said no, but I gave her a second before we took off. I had a hard time catching up, got really serious, and finally passed her. She was wearing giant flippers.
The ultimate satire is that we are actually discussing whether ancient man/woman identified as man/woman.
As for Trump “losing” the election in 2020, the argument I can never satisfactorily answer is Biden getting 10 million more “votes” than Obama.
My guess on the recordbreaking votes for both candidates revolves around the massive mail balloting. When even the laziest voter has a ballot in the mailbox and can just mail it back, you’re going to have record participation.
I’m anticipating the time when only a single trans “athlete” competes in a women’s race while the women athletes refuse to participate in those farces.
@Steve Green – this is the second time Martina has pushed back on this topic. The first time, several years ago, the woke army came for her and she backtracked quite quickly. I was very disappointed that she did walk it back, because she actually has all the bonafides to be a voice of reason.

Found an article from March of 2019. Martina basically called trans guys swimming against women cheaters. She backtracked a little, but this was still her quote back then, which I don’t recall getting much play.
While she said she was sorry for “suggesting that transgender athletes in general are cheats” she also added that there was no “perfect solution” to this issue and that if “everyone were included, women’s sports as we know them would cease to exist.”
