Just Go Away: Don’t Call Democrats Communists…Here’s Why

Don’t let Democrats escape who they are by calling them communists, socialists, fascists or anything other than their official brand name. Here’s why.

A problem properly described is half solved: Peg the Dems for the Communists they are and educate. Make it stick. A useful illustration from The Soviet Story < https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1305871/ > was when Josef Goebbels attempted to ally the Nazis & commies in the 1920s: The commie thugs hated the Nazi aristocracy and the Nazi thugs hated the Slavic untermensch. Fistfights ensued and that idea was over…thankfully.
An entire generation of my own family disappeared somewhere between Kolyma and the Katyn forest, before the Nazis even existed. There are many legitimate immigrants to the USA from around the world with hard experience of commie/socialist brutality and deception and they do tell their stories (q.v. Victims of Communism: <https://victimsofcommunism.org/ >)
To our Korea, Vietnam and Cold War vets, I say: Thank you! It was a fight worth having – and still is.

Should we be fighting communism or figuring out what to wear to the battlefield? Great discussion and points and fully agree don’t de-link communism and the Democrats. For that matter, link the RINO’s as controlled opposition and link them all as our Swamp to the real Swamp in Davos at the World Economic Forum founded by communists Klaus Schwab and George Soros, the latter of whom used over 200 NGO’s to rig 2020 along with a $400M donation from the CCP to Dominion via their parent Staple Street Capital (Wake Up Call, DefendingTheRepublic dot org, Rumble).

In the musical “1776,” Jefferson responded to criticism of calling King George a “tyrant” by saying, “George IS a tyrant. We might as well say so.” It should not be an either/or choice. Calling Demonrats “Demonrats” and calling Demonrats “communists” are both perfectly valid. (Add to these, “sewer rats,” traitors,” perverts,” “scums of the Earth,” and so many other precisely accurate terms, ALL should be used to describe these degenerate vermin.) Bill’s description of protecting the individual vs. protecting the group (at about 23:00) is brilliant.) Adding to Zo’s Biblical characterization of left & right is Eccl 10:2, “A wise man’s heart inclines him to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.”

I hear what Zo is saying … on the other hand, people don’t have the evil connotation regarding “democrat” that they have with “communist” or especially “nazi”. So calling them “democrat” they just think of their favorite uncle or grandfather and dad who were democrats and they’re comfortable with it.

Bill at 22:xx Protecting the individual ends up protecting the group of those individuals. This incentivizes me to one again promote the book Inventing the Individual: The Origins of Western Liberalism , by Larry Siedentop https://www.amazon.com/Inventing-Individual-Origins-Western-Liberalism/dp/0674979885/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3JUM5QT9BCPTH&keywords=larry+siedentop+inventing+the+individual&qid=1661270920&s=books&sprefix=siedentop%2Cstripbooks%2C94&sr=1-1

In regard to Chekists, it also brings to mind the virtues of the 2nd Amendment and an armed citizenry, in that the unarmed Russians were easy pickings for Chekist thugs to come up the back stairs of the tenements to cart off dissidents or other enemies of the state. If they had been met by armed citizens, they would have been much less successful in advancing that form of terror and tyranny.

We sometimes hear of some pro 2nd Amendment person mention the “right” to self defense as justification for this amendment, but strictly speaking I perceive the Founders (and their Englishmen precursors) really wanted it as a form of protection against tyranny. But that aspect is too seldom mentioned in public. The “useful idiot” totalitarian Democrats cannot conceive of how what they support and promote via The Party is in fact the development of tyranny. Conservative/Republicans who try to bring this point to the fore end up sounding like conspirators and rabid fruit cakes to the Democrats because of this shortcoming in their thinking. But it still needs further emphasis from the constitutionalists on the Right. It is really the only thing the Leftist Democrats fear, causing them to proceed more slowly than they might otherwise.

“The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.”
― Robert A. Heinlein
Collectivists vs Individuals – much better phrasing.
Also, I will be stealing the line that Fascists vs Communists is Like Coke fighting Pepsi.

Great episode, guys. Bill’s comments about communism and the Soviet Union are certainly on point. Most Americans have no clue about communism and the evil that it is. The ignorance displayed by youngsters parading around in their Che t-shirts and the hammer and sickle are particularly revolting. I was fortunate and blessed in having been assigned while active duty Army to West Berlin for close to 9 years. I saw communism and the Soviets up close and personal. I saw their hypocrisy, their lies, and their weak, sordid attempts to disguise who they really were. I saw their attempts to intimidate and to control. I saw things that most Americans are clueless about.
That said, it certainly isn’t wrong to juxtapose the Democrats and Communists as being collectivists. In effect, the word “collectivist” is a much more accurate descriptor of that ideology. But just like the word “liberal” which is used most often to also describe a collectivist, that word “liberal” has been bastardized and reinvented, though it should not have been.
One thing is clear – collectivism is evil and it’s a scourge. We would do well to carry this message to those who need to hear it.

One of my pet peeves is referring to leftists as “liberals” – a term they appropriated because the more accurate term “collectivists” didn’t sound pretty. Liberalism has as its foundations Individual Sovereignty, Private Property Rights, Free Markets, Free Speech, Small Government, etc – all of which are kryptonite to collectivists.
