That was great, and a little creepy. I think that was claymation, which is becoming a lost art.
Knowing the author, Liam Lynch, the creator of the 1990s MTV series “The Sifl and Olly Show,” it was puppets with Liam’s own legs superimposed on the lower-halves to complete the weird aliens. He is well-known for his innovative and strange puppetry, and quirky songwriting. Here’s one of his most famous (and bizarre) bits:

That was a bit more creepy in a bizarre pseudo-morbid sort of way. It wasn’t about the real thing, it was about the fake thing and hence pseudo-morbid but … Still funny though.
